I was inspired to create an embossed heart embellishment and heat emboss on a canvas.
To begin, I painted gesso on a burlap canvas, layered with various patterned papers and tissue tape, added color using Color Shine sprays. Once the sprays were dry, I randomly stamped the background using images from Ultimate Grunge followed with the polka dot stamps from Mixed Media which I stamped using VersaMark ink then heat embossed using white embossing powder.
For the focal point, I made a heart shaped embellishment using Ultra Thick Enamel, Heat It Ink, the Melting Pot and the Scalloped Lace tread. To highlight the beautifully embossed lace design on the heart, I lightly applied Gold acrylic paint.
