Hi Everyone! Thanks again to the girls at 2Sketches4You for choosing my tag (click HERE) as the winner of "Card Of The Week" in last week's sketch challenge & to the girls at City Crafter Challenge Blog for selecting the same tag as their winner of the Terrific Tag challenge! Yipeeee :) One of my other recent creations is featured on the Melissa Frances's Blog today (click HERE) to see!!! I had some time today to play with my papercrafting goodness, so I made a card & joined in the fun with these 2 awesome challenge sites again!
Here is my take on these dynamic duo challenges:
To create the scalloped border, I broke out one my new toys :) Spellbinders™ Big Scalloped Border Petites. This particular border die template not only cuts the border shape but also embosses! You also have the ability use it as a stencil! All 3 features wrapped up in 1 product! I will be sharing a promised tutorial Thursday featuring these techniques in greater detail :)
For sketch inspiration, I was inspired by Kazan's Sketch #52 from 2Sketches4You:
& to color my world, I was inspired by the beautiful color palette chosen by Heather for this week's City Crafter Colors Challenge. Heather referenced the movie Pretty In Pink from 1986 - just happens to be the year I graduated from High School! Time sure does fly!

These colors scream elegance to me, so I decided to feature a gorgeous Melissa Frances cameo embellishment centered in a tissue paper flower made from recycled tissue paper from my Mother's Day gift! The background was embossed using the Spellbinders™ Flourish Impressabilities™.
The photo above was taken at a Cameo Shop located in Sorrento, Italy where the craftsman skillfully carve cameos by hand. I so regret not buying one - I guess this gives us an excuse to return! LOL
Now that I spent the early part of my day off playing with my toys, I better get some chores done before the hubby gets home! Maybe you will come join the fun in some of these challenges? Thanks for looking! Be Sweet
