Autumn wishes 22

Mona Pendleton | Tuesday, October 18, 2016 @ 9:57 AM | , , , , ,

Hi there! Today I'm sharing an autumn themed project that I was inspired by the beautiful color palette for the October Prima's Product Pick challenge:
I created a mixed media style tag which features a variety of Prima products including: texture, pretty embellishments and lots of shimmery details:
I made the pumpkin using chipboard and steel bladed dies, assembled then applied Prima crackle texture paste. For a bit of shimmer, I applied Prima Metallique Gold Rush acrylic paint. I embellished with various Prima flowers, a resin owl and glittery gold leaves:
To create the background, I applied a coat of Prima white gesso once dry, I added texture using a Prima stencil and Prima texture paste. After that layer was dry, I adhered Prima pebbles and Prima Roman numeral embellishments. For color, I painted on Prima purple mica powder:
For the final step, I splashed on the following Prima products: white gesso, Metallique Pink Blush and  Metallique Gold Rush acrylic paints:
I'm also joining along with the current Curtain Call Inspiration challenge where the theme is Glittery Gourds:
and I'm linking to this week's Paint Party Friday site:
Many thanks for stopping by!

Hi there! It's time for the May Prima Product Pick challenge and this month we are challenging all you Prima fans to create a project using the beautiful color combination shown below:
I was inspired to create a layout featuring a photo of my sweet dogs surrounded by a variety of fun and cheerful, beautiful blossoms:
I love the versatility of Prima products and how easy it is to mix and match products from many collections, as I have done to create this layout.

Thanks so much for visiting ~ I hope you have enjoyed my layout and are inspired to join along! Please be sure to stop by the Prima blog and see the awesome DT inspiration!

La Vie...Prima Product Pick 34

Mona Pendleton | Saturday, September 5, 2015 @ 12:12 PM | , , , ,

Hi there! I hope you are having a great weekend! I'm still here. Scott and I just returned from a trip to NYC where we helped get Meredith settled in her dorm room. I grew up in upstate NY and have visited NYC many times but it never gets old. So much to see and do and never enough time. Here's a photo of the NY skyline including the Brooklyn Bridge that Scott shot at night from the top deck of a double decker bus:
Today I have a layout to share featuring a variety of Prima products:
I scrapped a trio of photos of Scott and I that were taken while we were vacationing in Paris several years ago:
For color inspiration, I joined along with the September's Prima Product Pick challenge:

I started with a piece of pretty paper from the Timeless Memories 12 x 12 Paper Pad. I added a lots of color using a variety of Mica Powders and beads:
I added lots of texture using a couple stencils along with Modeling Paste and Gesso. I embellished with a cluster of flowers and die cut leaves:
For the title, I used an Antique Cloches:
For sketch inspiration, I joined along with the current Sketchabilities sketch challenge:
Many thanks for stopping by!
