A Beautiful Thing Card

Hi Girls! I am soooo glad that my family is almost done "Park Hopping." Tomorrow, we will be visiting Shamu & all the other Marine life at Sea World. We had a great day today, relaxing & hanging around "home". The BIG adventure of the day, was going out to lunch, then my husband treated me to a trip to a SCRAPBOOK STORE! :) My step kids found a place to sit & play their video games. While they sat patiently waiting, my husband & I browsed around the store. I found

some treasures! :) I hope to make a card tomorrow using a new Unity stamp set I bought. :) Tonight, I had a chance to play again with my stamping goodies! That is what I call a vacation! :) I made this card as my entry for TWO challenges, the CPS118 & RSCC8. (I do not have PTI Raspberry Fizz or SU Pink Passion, so I substituted Pixie Pink). Cheep Talk!

Hi Girls! I survived the CRAZINESS of the TWO pre-teen & teenager pool parties this weekend! ;) Not one crumb left over from TWO dozen of cupcakes, ONE dozen of White Chocolate Macadamia Nut & ONE dozen of Chocolate Chunk cookies & EIGHT bags of various chips! :) Those kids can really eat!!! Thankfully, I have the day off from my REAL job, (the one that supports this hobby / paper addiction :), so I gathered some ingredients including sprinkles & started creating! :) My inspiration for this card comes from the Raspbe rry Suite Color Challenge - Week 6 that can be found at www.DAWNMCVEY.TYPEPAD.COM & from the Challenge 51 Buttons Galore than can be found at www.aspoonfullofsugarchallenge.b logspot.com I stamped my own Designer Paper starting with a white sheet of CS, randomly stamping a bird image using Versa Magic's Sea Breeze Chalk Ink, then heat embossing with clear embossing powder. Repeating these steps with the other stamps & colors used. I love heat embossing with VersaMagic Chalk Ink because its consistancy is so thick & moist. Perfect for embossing! My 1st Color Challenge, 3rd entry!

Hi Everyone! I am scheduled to work a Saturday shift this week, so I have one "extra" day off during the week to play! Once again, I took advantage of that time to use the creative side of my brain! :) I used to live in Buffalo, NY where quilting happened to be quite popular for obvious reasons! (BRRRRR!) My Very 1st Color Challenge!
