Thinking of You...MFTWSC172 29

Mona Pendleton | Wednesday, April 16, 2014 @ 12:01 PM | , , , , ,

Hi there! Hope you are having a great week! It's time for an all new MFTWSC sketch challenge. Thanks to all who joined along with last week's sketch!
This week, we at MFT have another fabulous sketch for you to create with:
I love all the layers in this sketch and the oval shape was perfect to showcase a beautiful damask from Damask Designs:
To create this card, I cut / die cut then layered pretty patterned papers from both the Pion design Flower Frames and Vintage Garden collections, stitched them together then adhered a fancy Die-namics Oval Decorative Doily followed with a stamped / die cut Damask Design. I stamped a sentiment from Winged Beauties and finished it off with a trio of Whip Cream buttons:
Thanks so much for stopping by ~ I hope you join along in the fun! You have the opportunity to win a $20. gift certificate to the MFT Boutique! Be sure to visit the MFT blog for additional inspiration.

Tonight I have a couple of projects to share featuring Damask Designs, Die-namics Damask Designs and the Damask stencil as well as many other products included in the release!

First ups is a layout featuring a photo of Meredith that was taken earlier this year while at a horse riding competition.
To create this layout, I first used the Damask stencil to add texture and design to the background:
Once the stenciled background was dry, I added lots of layers. I layered the photo of sweet Meredith on top of a piece of cardstock that was stamped using the Typewriter Text Background stamp. I stamped the largest damask from Damask Designs using Natural ink on the coordinating die cut that was made using a Die-namics Damask Designs die. I layered with a variety of die cut flowers that were made using the following Die-namics dies: Die-namics Layered Rose, Die-namics Mini Rolled Roses along with flourishes made using Die-namics Fancy Flourish:
I couldn't resist adding a beautiful Fancy Butterfly and more design to the background using the Moroccan Tiles stencil:
Peeking out from behind the photo is a fun stamped calendar from Journal It - Pocket Calendar that was stamped on a 3 x 4 Insert
Next is a rather clean and simple card. To create this card, I stamped the background using the new Natural ink (which I love) on a piece of Natural cardstock
I stamped a pretty flower from Grand Peaceful Wildflowers using Insulation Pink ink (which I love) on the coordination die cut that was made using a Die-namics Grand Peaceful Wildflowers die. I layered it on die cut Stitched Circles that were cut using Die-namics Stitched Circles STAX dies then completed it with a stamped sentiment from Grand Peaceful Wildflowers:
Thanks so much for stopping by ~ I hope you enjoyed my projects today and throughout the past week.

Thinking of you...MFT December Countdown Day 6 39

Mona Pendleton | Wednesday, December 4, 2013 @ 10:00 PM | , , , , ,

Hi there! Thanks so much for stopping by! There are only 6 Days until Our (MFT) December Release! The December Product Launch will be on Tuesday, December 10th at 10 PM Eastern in the MFT Boutique. This release, just like ALL of MFT's releases is overflowing with fabulous products! Be sure to hop over to the MFT Blog for a list of today's participating designers along with the amazing prize info!
In case you missed yesterday's post, (click HERE), I'm very excited to introduce you to my newest stamp set, coordinating Die-namics die set and a stencil design that are included in this month's release!
The Damask Designs stamp set:
The Die-namics Damask Designs die set:
and the Damask Stencil
Today I have a couple of projects to share featuring a variety of versatile products included in the December release. First up is a rather clean and simple card. To create this card, I stamped the background using the strip of damasks from Damask Designs using Berrylicious ink on a piece of Sno Cone cardstock
For the focal point, I stamped one of the damasks from Damask Designs on a coordinating die cut made using a Die-namics Damask Designs die, stamped a sentiment from Grand Peaceful Wildflowers, then layered it on top of a couple of fun die cuts made using Die-namics Stitched Circle STAX dies.
Next up is a layout featuring a photo of sweet Meredith that was taken several years ago while we were on vacation.
To create this layout, I first added texture and design to the background using the Damask stencil. I wanted to really highlight the photo of Meredith so I used a Die-namics Stitched Circle STAX die to cut around Meredith's sweet face. I layered the photo on another Stitched Circle die cut and an Insulation Pink cardstock High Tea Doily.
For 1/2 of the title, I stamped the "UR" sentiment from To the Point on a die cut ticket then layered it on top of the largest stamped / die cut damask from Damask Designs that was stamped using Natural ink:
Layered behind Meredith's photo is a piece of stamped card stock that I created using the strip of damasks from Damask Designs using Natural ink. I completed the layout with a stamped bunch of Grand Peaceful Wildflowers using the following inks: Insulation Pink, Natural and Berrylicious on the coordinating die cuts that were cut using Die-namics Grand Peaceful Wildflowers dies.

Thanks so much for visiting ~ I hope you like my samples!
