You're so sweet. 21

Mona Pendleton | Monday, September 5, 2016 @ 6:10 PM | , , ,

Hi there! I hope you are off to a great start of a new week! Today I have a couple of projects to share that I created for my sweet sister Tina. First up is a rather clean and simple card featuring button cherries along with lots of white space:
I inked up the sweet cherries stem image from the PTI Everyday Button Bits stamp set then stitched on a couple buttons. Doesn't get much easier than that!
It's Day 4 of 30 in 30:
Up next is a 10" x 10" painting featuring a bowl of cherries that I painted for Tina which was inspired by an online art lesson presented by Hall Groat Oil Painting Video DVD course.
I'm so thrilled to have learned how to paint cherries! Now I can incorporate some in my still life floral paintings:

For card sketch inspiration, I'm joining along with the current MOJO Monday sketch challenge:
I'm linking this painting to the current Paint Party Friday site:
Thanks so much for stopping by ~ I hope you have a great day / evening!
Be Sweet ;)

so happy for you 25

Hi there! Hope you are having a great weekend! Today I have several cards to share featuring a combination of PTI stamp sets along with a variety of MFT dies. While I had the stamps and dies out on my desk, I decided to make three very similar rather clean and simple cards that just need a single postage stamp and on their way they go! I dread going to the post office to have cards weighed. The first one up is for my dear daughter (in law) April who began her student teaching this past week:

next one up is for a dear friend who is so thoughtful and I'm so grateful that she's my friend:
and this one is for my sweet sister Marlene who is always in my thoughts and prayers:

A Seed of Kindness 61

Mona Pendleton | Tuesday, March 8, 2011 @ 3:56 PM | , , , ,

Hi there! Hope you are off to a great week~we're almost half way there! I had some "me" time to create and this is what I came up with:
I took on this week's MOJO Monday #181 sketch challenge. Oh my~this sketch had my head spinning! All the panels required some SERIOUS planning. Nothing CAS about this bad boy! :) LOL
Rather than adhering the sentiment on top, I created a frame using 2 various sized circle die templates, placing one on each side of the stamped image then cut and embossed using the GC-001 Grand Calibur:
That's all I have to share today. Thanks so much for looking! Hope you have a good one :) Be Sweet!

Supplies Used:
Stamps: JustRite Stampers Kaleidoscope, Seeds Of Kindness Borders & Centers
Die Templates & Machine: Spellbinders™ Nestabilities® 293 Lacey CirclesS4-116 Standard Circles SM, GC-001 Grand Calibur
Paper: My Mind's Eye Lush Collection, October Afternoon

Happy Foreverness 63

Mona Pendleton | Friday, January 28, 2011 @ 3:55 AM | , ,

Hi there! T.G.I.F.! Are you all ready for the weekend? Any BIG plans? Not sure what's going on in my corner of the world but I do know that I am going to be one tired girl :( My hubby's job requires him to spend a night away from home every now and then and tonight was one of those nights! I never sleep very well when he is away~I hear every creek in the house and have a difficult time falling asleep so I thought, "why fight it?" just stay awake and make a card or two!!! Now it's 3:35 AM and here I am... YIKES!!!
I have had so much going on, I forgot to mention that I have a card being featured over on the Melissa Frances blog! YIPEEE!!! You may want to pop on over (click HERE) to see not only my card but ALL the gorgeous product that is being revealed for Spring/CHA :) I made this card using some pretty Melissa Frances DP and a few of my other favorite products. For sketch inspiration, I played along with this week's MOJO Monday week 175. My friend Stephanie Kraft was recently invited to join the MOJO DT and I am so happy for her! She has played with that sketch challenge blog for ages and there is no one more deserving that I can think of :)
One of the many things I love about Spellbinders die templates is the unique ability to not only cut/emboss but to stencil as well. See how I stenciled some pink ink around the decorative border and center of the doily as well as the banner? I love having that option ~ do you take advantage that feature when using a Spellbinder die template?

That's all for now ~ I better get some rest. Hopefully I just won't lie there listening to the wind blow the palm trees! Have a great day and would love to hear what you have planned for the weekend?! Be Sweet :)
