Hi there! I hope you are having a great week! Thanks to those who took the time to leave such kind comments on my latest projects! Tonight I have something to share that I made for fun. I'm so excited to share a project that I made using a variety of Prima products joining along with the May Prima Product Picks challenge:

I made this wall hanging showcasing one of Julie Nutting's sweet girls:

To create this project, I stamped the girl image on pretty papers from the Prima Princess collection as well as on a page ripped out from a dictionary that my sister picked up for me at a second hand store specifically for projects like this :) I colored her hair, skin and head band, fussy cut around the image and dress, pieced it together then layered it on more pretty papers from the Princess collection. To add more design and texture to the background, I used a Prima stencil along with some Gesso:

I embellished with a variety of Prima products including beautiful blossoms, a doily sticker, tassel and typo bulb:

Tonight I have a mini album to share focusing on the fun Grid Background stamp while incorporating a variety of many products included in the New Product Launch. To create this album, I first started with a chipboard album, covered it with tissue paper, applied a light coat of Gesso, stamped and embossed the Grid Background stamp then applied various Distress inks. 

I framed all the photos of Meredith using one of the Die-namics Rectangle Frames dies:

I embellished with fun hearts full of die cut cardstock sequins that were made using the Die-namics Sequins dies along with a beautiful Die-namics Gerbera Daisy: 

I stamped an encouraging sentiment from the You Were Meant To Sparkle stamp set on a die cut Horizontal Stitched Strip:

Happy Birthday...Seize the Sketch 20 31

capture life's moments 35

Hi there! I hope you had a great weekend! It's time for an all new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! May has gone totally self-indulgent this week as it is her birthday week! So what will you create? M could stand for the month of May, mist, markers, magenta, moved lawn, metal, millinery, a masculine project, mounted stamps...

For me, "M" is for a mixed media canvas featuring a variety of metals.

I love the shimmery appearance that you get when you use the Ranger Adirondack paint metallic Acrylic Paints so I thought this would be the perfect challenge to put them to good use! I painted an owl onto a piece of canvas using techniques and skills I learned from taking an on-line course (click HERE for more details). I used a combination of Gold and Silver paints. 

I adhered a foil wing which I embossed using the Tim Holtz Riveted Texture Fade. Once the painting was dry, I stitched it to a piece of Tim Holtz Melange fabric then adhered it to a Burlap Panel. 

I added detail to the owl using Waterfall Blue Stickles and Platinum Pearl liquid pearls. I wanted to give the owl an overall steampunk vibe so I embellished with a variety of fun Tim Holtz products including: Industrious Stickers, a Heart Charm, Metal Word Band, a Regal Adornment and many more listed below:
