LOVE...MFT January Creative Challenge 31

Hi there! Welcome to the MFT DT January Creative Challenge! Just in case you are not familiar, the MFT Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative side using a specific theme, product, or technique. This month, we were challenged to create custom sentiments or add personalization to our card, home-decor, 3-D gift or scrapbook page using any of our alphabet dies or stamps.

I created a mixed media canvas featuring a banner that was stamped using Max Alphabet:

I'll start by sharing how I created the banner: I die cut Primitive White cardstock using a Die-namics Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX die, stamped the letters L-O-V-E using the Max Alphabet along with PERMANENT black ink, misted each piece, punched holes in the corners, strung together using hemp then anchored it down using Steel Grey buttons:

To create the canvas, I first added lots of texture to the background using the Graduated Dots Stencil, allowed to dry then misted with a variety of sprays and inks:

Once the background was dry, I randomly stamped the checkerboard image from Distressed Background Blocks:

I die cut the photo of Jerry and April using a Die-namics Heart STAX die and surrounded it with a variety of die cut flowers that were made using the following dies: Die-namics Large Hybrid Rose, Die-namics Mini Royal Roses and Die-namics Royal Rose:

A is for Altered 39

Hi there! It's time for an all new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Thanks to all who joined along with last week's challenge! This week's theme is all about the letter "A". Will you use product from American Crafts? Create a whole album? An Assemblage? Use Adhesives in a special way? Whatever your take - this week we are all about the letter A…

When I think of the letter "A" the word "Art" immediately comes to mind so I pulled out an art journal cover that was waiting to be altered:

I adhered fun French Industrial paper to the cover, randomly stamped various Bitty Grunge images, applied various mediums including the following: Bolivian Blue Acrylic Glaze, Gesso, Black Archival Ink, Stream Color Wash and Metallic Distress Acrylic Paint.

For the focal image, I featured one of the fun Creative Collages

then embellished with a variety of metal trinkets and flowers:

Just a Note 38

Hi there! I hope you are having a great weekend! Scott and I had fun hiking up our favorite trail on South Mountain. I feel so blessed to live near such beautiful landscape. I had some time to craft so I made a card to featuring beautiful patterned papers from Pion design. 

For the focal image, I die cut one of the beautiful images from From Grandma's Attic - tinted paper:

I added a few sprigs of die cut foliage, a pretty blossom from my stash and a stamped sentiment from More Essential Sentiments:

Be mine... 30

Hi there! Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? We're having beautiful weather here with temps in the high 70's so I'll be enjoying the outdoors while riding my bicycle and hiking up a mountain. 

I have a mixed media Valentine to share featuring fun paper that I made using the Gelli Arts printing plate along with a variety of acrylic paints. I added a several random hearts to the background using the Graduated Hearts stencil:

I stamped one of the fun sentiments from Sunny Day Doodles Love It on a die cut that was made using a Die-namics Pierced Circle STAX die then layered it on a Kraft scalloped like die cut that was made using a die from Die-namics First Place Award Ribbon.
