Happy Times... 50

Hi there! Are you ready for the weekend? I know I am! It's time for an all new Mixed Media Color Challenge! Thanks to all who took the time to play along and thanks to those who left encouraging comments. For nearly the next two weeks, we will be playing with the following colors: peach, brown and tan

For my sample, I created a layout featuring a photo of Meredith and Connor that was taken years ago while on vacation on Maui:

After creating the background with a variety of patterned papers from my stash, I added lots of texture:

The diamond pattern was created using the Graduated Diamonds Stencil. I randomly stamped the text image from Collage Backgrounds and stamped a sentiment for the title from Timeless:

Beautiful Friend 42

Happy Wednesday! Hope you are having a great week so far! It's a beautiful sunny fall day here in Phoenix ~ blue skies and temps in the 80's and I am so fortunate to have the day off from work :)

It's time for an all new MFT sketch challenge! I combined several MFT stamp sets, Die-namics dies with beautiful patterned papers from 13arts to create my sample.

After layering and stitching the background together, I stamped and heat embossed the checkerboard pattern from Distressed Background Blocks then embellished with a Fancy Butterfly and a Mini Royal Rose:

Joy to the World...MFT October Release Rewind 34

Hi there! Welcome to day two of the MFT October Release Rewind! Today, many of the MFT DT members will be sharing projects made using awesome products included in the October release! Be sure to visit the MFT blog for a complete list of designers who will be participating.

First up is a layout featuring a Christmas time photo of Meredith and Connor that was taken several years ago.

I added texture and design to the background using the Stargaze Stencil:

I stamped / heat embossed three of the cute images from Sunny Day Doodles Sweet Christmas on die cut tags made using various sizes of Die-namics Pierced Traditional Tags STAX dies. To highlight the edges of the tags, I simply swiped the Sweet Tooth ink pad around the edges. 

Then finished off the layout with several  shimmer kissed Poinsettia blossoms made using Die-namics Poinsettia die:

Next up is a rather clean and simple card featuring the adorable snowman and sentiment from the Pure Innocence Trim the Branches Snowman set which I stamped on a Die-namics Mini Album Torn Notebook STAX die cut:

I finished off the card with a pretty snowflake from Snowflake Splendor:

Life's Little Treasures 42

Hi there! Hope you had a great weekend! It's time for an all new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week, we are all about creativity on the high seas aka: Nautical Nonsense!

I was inspired by the Nautical Nonsense theme to create a canvas featuring an underwater scuba diving photo of Connor that was taken when we were vacationing on Maui. With the gorgeous shades of the blue and green ocean in mind, I combined a variety of sprays, spritzes and mists to add color to my canvas. 

For the title, I stamped a sentiment from Down By The Seaside on a die cut tag:

and created texture on the background using then Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Stencil Blocked Circles:

I stamped seashells from Down By The Seaside directly on the canvas and adhered seashells from my stash:
