You're a Stitch 41

Hi there! Can't believe how fast time is flying by, here we are already midweek! I'm all caught up on DT requirements and I have the day off from work so I thought I would make a card just for fun :)

I recently purchased some new stamps and coordinating dies from My Favorite Things and they have just been sitting in my crafty space waiting to kiss an ink pad! I pulled out some pretty patterned paper from The Girl's Paperie which you may or may not know is no longer in business. Margie the Owner/Designer disolved that business and opened up a brand spankin' new one called Authentique. Which of course has just as beautiful products! Anyways, I thought the paper was so pretty and would look great pieced together like a patch work quilt fitting the sewing theme of my card. What do you think?

Spooky Treat Toppers 43

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Today wraps up the July release for JustRite Stampers. In case you haven't visited recently. JustRite Stampers released TEN new awesome stamps sets this month! Today we are introducing JustRite Stampers JB-09885 2" Happy Halloween - Interlocking and JB-09808 Halloween Mini Sentiments - Interlocking. I made a few fun cupcake treat toppers combining several images from both of these sets as well as incorporating a pennant image from CL-02135 You are the Best Set - Cling.

Aren't these some of the cutest spooky images you've laid your eyes on in awhile??? Pretty simple to make these little darlings! All I did was stamp the image, color using various Copic markers, cut/embossed using a Standard Circles Small die template, applied Tim Holtz Distress Rock Candy and set aside to dry. Once the rock candy was dry, I layered the image on top of a fan fold embellishment and a decorative lacy doily that was made using a Lacey Circles die template. I made a bibbon embellishment for each cupcake sing images from Halloween Mini Sentiments.

This little guy, is too cute to be scarey :)

CR84FN33 2nd Week 49

Hi blogging friends! Time flies when you are having fun doesn't it? I love my job but time NEVER goes this fast for me when I am at work or sitting in the dentist's chair! Before I get to today's project, I would like to shout from the roof tops that one of my cards was recently featured on the Melissa Frances blog! Yahooo!! I made this card + a few extra and mailed them off to my sweet friends thanking them for their kind and generous birthday gifts :) I dug into my stash of paper and "found" some gorgeous Prima patterned paper that seemed to coordinate with the pretty PTI rose image. I love that little pocket die and have a lot of ideas rolling around in my head using it! If only there were more hours in the day to play with paper and such....

Happy Saturday! Hope you are enjoying the day :) Any big weekend plans? Not much going on for me, just waking up early in the morning around 5:00 am so I can get a bike ride in before it gets too hot. Before you know it, the Mercury is pushing 100 degrees then it's too late. My dear friend Stephanie turned me onto My Favorite Things Stamps and Dies. I immediately fell in love with their gorgeous doilies and matching border dies: 

I'm always in need of a Thank You card so that is exactly what I made. I pulled out some Prima patterned paper that I embarrassingly purchased 4 months or so ago, stamped a sentiment from Waltzingmouse Rescue Remedies Additions, adorned with a multi-layered My Favorite Things Decorative Doily Duo Die and a Faux Crochet Border. Topped it off with a flower from Recollections, a seam binding bow and Martha Stewart pearl.

You may have heard on the news the other day about the intense sandstorm, aka: a Haboob, that we experienced here in Phoenix? We live on top of a little mountain that overlooks what is known as the East Valley. Here are some photos that Scott took as we watched the storm roll in engulfing our neck of the woods!
