Happy St. Patrick's Day to all of you who celebrate~after all as the saying goes, "Everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's Day!" Here today for the Friends of Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Waltz. This month's theme is all about St. Patrick's Day/Irish. Claire has changed things up a bit, instead of having a competition to spot things in photos like we usually do - Claire will pick a random commenter from the March of WMS blog waltz chat thread (click HERE) to award a prize to.

All you have to do is chat about your favourite St Pat's day memories - or things to do - or indeed any old blether you have to say about things Irish in general will do. Just post it HERE. On the 20th, Claire will pick a random post. Of course the more you chat, the more chances you have of winning. I printed a free digital image from HubPages of a sweet little Irish girl then showcased her on paper created by stamping various background sets including: polka dots from Off Beat Backgrounds, Musical Backgrounds.

I stamped the CELEBRATE sentiment from Free Spirit - Sentiments then using a ribbon banner die template from S4-324 Ribbon Banners to cut/emboss the image.

Hi there! Hope you are all having a great day! Lucky me to have the day off from work and lots of "me" time to get crafty! I had a lot of fun playing with a lot of goodies from the My Mind's Eye Stella and Rose Hazel Collection. First up is a layout featuring my sweet step-daughter Meredith thoroughly enjoying her birthday cake more ways than one, while celebrating her 7th birthday. What a "Kodak moment" :)

For sketch inspiration, I played along with the My Mind's Eye Sketch Challenge #21 (sketch by Anam Stubbington) which also involves following a "Celebrate Today" theme along with the sketch. Thanks My Mind's Eye and Anam for another fun sketch to play with and awesome inspiration to get my scrappy MOJO in motion!

These darling sentiment tags that describe what I love about Meredith are all from the package of Hazel "Lovely" sticker tags:

This large Hazel "Special" Fine Floret Paper tag is full of so many fun elements all from the Hazel collection. I love all the beautiful colored pearls, the little key and locket dangling from the vibrant aqua colored bias ribbon and not to forget the little button fastened on the twine:

Banners and pennants of all shapes and sizes are such a BIG hit these days ~ you see them flying everywhere! Well, the Hazel "Mother" layered sticker pack contains a multi-layered dimensional one! SWEEET!!!

Love the look of that vibrant pearl brad with those homespun crocheted flowers courtesy of my sweet sister Tina :) Boy, how I wish I had the patience to learn to crochet like her! I have to admit, I lack the motivation especially when she graciously trades me flowers for cards! Ha

A Family layout 46

Hi there! Hope you are all having a great weekend :) After getting settled in and unpacked from our mini vacation, I had some time to create so I made this layout featuring my sweet girlfriend's children, Jocelyn and Johnathan using various patterned paper made by Cosmo Cricut:

I pulled out paper from both the Cosmo Cricket: Circa 1934 Collection and Togetherness Collection to create my layout using the sketch shown below from the Cosmo Cricut blog, where they are offering a chance to one lucky participant the opportunity to get published in Scrapbook Trends magazine. I 've never submitted a layout for publication before so I thought this may be just the push I needed! :) Thank you Cosmo Cricut and Scrapbook Trends for this opportunity!

Strewn across the top of the layout, I made some flower embellishments from the Togetherness Collection: Making Plans and Reunion using S4-249 Big Scalloped Circles LG and S4-250 Big Scalloped Circles SM and a scattered about a few butterflies made from the Circa 1934 Collection: Ginger using a butterfly die template from S4-123 Flying Beauties.

I made the journaling label shown below using a S4-169 Small Labels die template to cut a piece of paper from Togetherness Collection: Making Plans then used Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type stickers to complete the journaling.

Using a S4-116 Standard Circles SM die template to cut each letter to spell FAMILY from Circa 1934 Collection: Garbo which was then layered upon a label cut using a S5-027 Labels Twenty-One die template and a piece of paper from Togetherness Collection: Making Plans.

Hi there! Hope you are all having a fantastic weekend! It's time for another CR84FN Color Challenge! Thanks to all who played along with last week's bright and cheerful color combo ~ so many pretty cards to see and many thanks to all of you who take time to leave such sweet comments! This week, we are playing with a monochromatic color scheme of sorts: AQUA, STEEL BLUE and GRAY while wishing our DT member ~ Lisa Somerville a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY ~ hope you will too :)

The pretty photos used to create the color graphic are courtesy of Crate and Barrel.

To create my card, I layered various patterned papers from the darling My Mind's Eye Stella and Rose Collection. I stamped the PTI button card image then using a S5-006 Curved Rectangle s to cut/emboss around the image, creating a tag. For sketch inspiration, I played along with this month's My Mind's Eye Sketch Challenge #21 (sketch designed by Anam Stubbington) which is also to use the theme "Celebrate Today". Perfect for the occasion!

I love to make homemade flowers so I did just that using a combination of S4-249 Big Scalloped Circles LG & S4-250 Big Scalloped Circles SM die templates.
