Hi there! I hope you are all having a fun weekend, perhaps your busy shopping or baking or papercrafting? Whatever you are doing hope you are having a lot of fun! Thanks to all who played along with last week's challenge, ALL were such beautiful projects :)

Here's my interpretation of this week's colors:

For the focal point, I made a flower embellishment using a combination of die cuts from S4-249 Big Scalloped Circles LG and S4-250 Big Scalloped Circles SM. After making the flower, I fastened it to the label that was stamped with an image from Very Vintage Labels No. 1 then cut/embossed using a S4-161 Labels One die template.  

Up close, you can see the embossed detail of the Musical Backgrounds.

Yuletide Blessings...WMSC27 44

Hi there! Thanks for all the Happy Birthday wishes for my hubby - he enjoyed reading all the sweet comments as much as I did :)

Today, it's time for another Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge:

 This card features a combination of Waltzingmouse Stamps and various Melissa France's products. I inked up an image from Vintage Circles, Small then cut/embossed using a S4-243 Lacey Circle die template then adhered a Melissa Frances sticker that was cut using a S4-114 Standard Circle LG die template.

Using a S4-236 Classic Heart die template & some Martha Stewart glitter, I made a shimmery heart embellishment.

Shown in the photo below are the steps taken to make the stamped doily featured on this card. 

Step 1: Stamp image.
Step 2: Center Spellbinders™ die template over stamped image, place a few small pieces of
            tape around the edges of die template.
Step 3: Cut/emboss using die cut machine, blade side up.

Happy Birthday Scott! 59

Hi there! Today we are celebrating my sweet hubby's Birthday :) We both have the day off from work so we plan to hike the mountain near our home, go out for a lunch then have a little celebration when the kids come home from school. The pressure is on me now to pull off an amazing 50th party next year! YIKES The pic below is from Scott's Birthday last year with my sweet 4 legged fur baby Gretchen :)

Of course I had to make Scott a Birthday card so this is what I came up with:

I find creating masculine cards quite challenging to say the least~I want to glam everything all up with flowers & bows. How about you? Do you struggle creating masculine cards as well?

I inked up a feathery little friend image from JustRite Back Yard Birds with Memento Timber Brown ink then referred to the Dryer Sheet tutorial that Beate shared on her blog not too long ago or you can find it HERE on SCS to create the soft, shimmery look. 

For color inspiration, I played along with this week's Off The Wall Challenge #36, OTWC36
