Hi! Today I have two different types of art projects to share. First up is a mixed media style small 4" x 6" canvas featuring a couple of die cut tree silhouettes.
I combined many techniques and products to create this smaller project including die cuts, acrylic paints, stamps, micro beads, glass glitter, tissue paper and for the most fun step, I melted several layers of thick embossing enamel on top and sprinkled in some glass glitter and micro beads:
I'm joining along with the following challenges: A Vintage Journey where the theme is "Melt it" (the multiple layers of embossing enamel were melted on) and for color inspiration, I'm joining along with the Mixed Media Place challenge where we are to be inspired by graphic shown below:
Up next is a 12" x 12" oil painting featuring a scene that was taken in Yosemite National Park and was inspired by Bill Inman. I'm entering this painting in the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge~Day 3: I'm also linking my painting to the Paint Party Friday site:
Thanks so much for stopping by!

A stunning canvas, chock full of inspirational techniques which I'm keen to try. The painting is wonderful too. Thanks for sharing.
I just love seeing your mixed media projects and paintings. They're always so inspiring. Your first project today reminds me of the current weather in Minneapolis--cold and icy! I love visiting our national parks, so your painting reminds me of some of our more spectacular visits. Thank you for sharing!
The canvas is wonderful, love the dimension and beautiful background! And the loose style in which you painted the woods is beautiful too.
We have been to the USA twice and absolutely fell in love with your National parks and nature.
Wow, Mona! Both of these are fabulous and so very impressive!
Love the "embrace possibilities". Love the colour choices. Really right up my alley. The forest is great as well. Trees are magnificent and wish we as humans would quit cutting down so many. Great artwork Mona. Thanks for sharing.
Fantastic, Mona! Perfect mixed media ...lots going on!

Your art is beautiful, so free, yet controlled.
You are such an artist, Mona! Both are just gorgeous!
Thanks so much for joining us at A Vintage Journey with your splattered trees. Reminds me of snow which we don't see much of here in AZ. It's always fun to melt stuff and your panel is lovely.
