I Love you 31

Mona Pendleton | Friday, February 2, 2018 @ 12:12 AM | , , ,

Hi! Today I'm joining along with the PTI Make It Monday challenge where Stephanie is challenging us to create a card featuring different types of papers. Here's my interpretation:
I created a Valentine's day card for my dear daughter Angie featuring a combination of the following types of papers: a page removed from a dictionary for the background, pink mulberry paper, vellum paper for the embossed layer of the butterfly as well as "regular" cardstock. The butterfly was stamped using one of the pretty images from the PTI Life is Beautiful stamp set and the sentiment is from the PTI Boutique Borders: Love Mini stamp set.
For sketch inspiration, I'm joining along with the Paper Players sketch challenge:
It's that time of year again for the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge. Day 1 Today, I have a 12" x 12" canvas featuring oil painted roses that was inspired by a lesson courtesy of Oleg on YouTube:
I'm also linking my painting to the Paint Party Friday site:
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Be Sweet ;)

Your card and your painting are both lovely. I like the contrast of the soft colors of the butterfly against the stronger image of the newsprint. Your roses look so lush and in full bloom. I can almost smell them!
