Christmas in July!

Hi Cyber Girls! As I said in my previous post, it's NEVER too early to be thinking about the Holidays! When I saw Dawn McVey's Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #13, CHRISTMAS
& POINTSETTIAS popped into my creative thoughts! My sketch inspiration came from Laura's Sketch 31 over at 2Sketches4You. Snowflakes in the Desert?

Hi Cyber Girlfriends! The thermostat has been well over 100 degrees for several days here in Phoenix! When I saw the color inspiration photo for Lauren's My Timeless Template Challenge, MTTC04, I thought I would chill out & get creative with snowflakes :) It was a duo challenge: 1. use the photo for inspiration & 2. use one of many Lauren's Timeless Templates that can be found at PTI. (There are FREE templates to download, so anyone can join in the fun!) Have any of you girls started creating for the holidays yet? It is NEVER too early to get started! My Cyber Girlfriend Julie at Julie's Open Window, has gotten a jump-start with her holiday tag making! MY FIRST PTI BLOG HOP!

Hi Cyber Girl Friends! This is my first PTI blog hop. The rules are quite simple. If you want to play along, all you need to do is create a project utilizing TEXT in some way, shape or form using at least one PTI product for the July Blog Hop. Can't get much easier than that! :) You know how I love to combine challenges when I can, so I made this blog hop "TEXT" card using the colors from this week's Color Throwdown #52 , (SU Certainly Celery, Perfect Plum & Chocolate Chip which I substituted with PTI's Spring Moss, Plum Pudding & Dark Chocolate) I loove making vintage-y distressed flowers using the technique I learned from Dawn McVey as well as stamping on the flower & leaves. Thanks to all of for the kind comments & interest in my blog! :)
T.G.I.F.! I am sooo happy that the weekend is here! :) Time for some scrappin' & stampin' FUN! I made this thank you card for my friend Kathy. Kathy did a HUGE favor for me at work & covered my call shift last Friday night, so I could go to Jewel's concert! :) Jewel was AMAZING! My sketch inspiration came from Kazan's Sketch 31 over at 2 Sketches 4 You & the color inspiration came from Splitcoast's Color Challenge CC228, where we had to use SU Pretty in Pink, Really Rust & Not Quite Navy. I referred to Dawn McVey's Vintage-y Distressed Flowers Tutorial when I created my flowers.     Hello Girls! I am overjoyed with your excitement & comments for my lil' celebration give away :) I have been reading all of your responses regarding "favorite products" & we stampin' scrappin' girls sure have a lot in common :) We can't get enough embellishments, paper or cute creatures such as a Cricut or a Cuttlebug :) I really liked last week's color challenge from the Splitcoast's Color Challenge 227, CC227 using SU Lavendar Lace, Barely Banana, Basic Black, Going Grey & Whisper White. My sketch inspiration came from last week's Mojo Monday #95 sketch challenge. This card was too late for the entry at Mojo but I loove all their sketches & inspiration anyhow!     Hi Girlies! Thanks to all of you who support my blog with all your wonderful words of kindness so regularly! :) I am quite honored to share some exciting news! Nichole Heady at PTI & ALL the girls on the DT selected my Dancing Daisies Basket (from my previous post) as the winning entry for the July Guest Star Stamper on the PTI Gallery! :) Thanks so much PTI team! :) If you haven't visited Nichole or any of the PTI girls yet, you don't know what you are missing! Pure Yummy Eye Candy! I have learned sooo many techniques that I share with all of you from these girls :) I made this Just Because card to thank my girlfriend Shana for my birthday gift using the SU Circle Circus set that she gave me for my birthday gift. I found it fitting to use it in her thank you card! I baked her some brownies & made the tag to accompany them. Shana is responsible for introducing me to stamping! :) My color inspiration came from this weeks Splitcoast's Color Challenge #227, CC227 where we had to use SU Lavendar Lace, Barely Banana, Basic Black, Basic Grey (I don't have Basic Grey so I substituted with Going Grey) & the layout inspiration came from Laura's Sketch 30 at 2 Sketches 4 You & I took on Kim's Bonus sketch for the "For you" card :) All of the sites that I have mentioned have so many "Yummy" treats for your viewing pleasure!
