A Spellbinders Contest... 4

Spellbinders is excited to announce the Spellbinders International Guest Blogger Contest. Spellbinders is looking for one fabulous International Guest Blogger to appear on the Spellbinders Paper Arts Blog during the month of June! This contest is for Spellbinders Paper Arts enthusiasts currently living outside of the United States. We will select one International Guest Blogger to create four projects with instructions, for publication on the Spellbinders Paper Arts Blog.

The International Guest Blogger Contest Winner will select $100 in Spellbinders Die Templates to use in the four blog posts. These die templates will be chosen from the Spellbinders website, and excludes Limited Edition die templates, Presto Punch machine, Presto Punch templates. A link to the Contest Winners' blog will be posted on the Spellbinders Blog for one year. The Winner will receive a personalized Spellbinders Badge to post on his/her Blog. Following completion of the four posts, the International Guest Blogger will receive an additional $100 in Spellbinders Paper Arts product, from the July 2010 New Release Collection. The Winner will be among the first to receive that new product! Spellbinders will pay all shipping charges.

Spellbinders International Guest Blogger Contest Winner will complete four paper craft projects using current Spellbinders Die Templates, with instructions. Winner must post a partial image of each project with a link to the Spellbinders Blog on publication days. Dates of publication to be determined.

To enter the Spellbinders International Guest Blogger Contest, submit the following to BlogContest@spellbinders.us:

One Contest Entry Project image .jpg (no larger than 10x10” at 72dpi)
Spellbinders International Blog Contest Entry Form (form download)

The Contest Entry Project must include Spellbinders product. The entrant must have his/her own personal blog that he/she maintains and keeps current. The Contest Entry must be in English, if chosen as Winner, blog posts must be in English. Spellbinders reserves the right to edit blog posts. Spellbinders reserves the right to edit images for posting on the Spellbinders Blog. Additional specifications will be sent to the Contest Winner.

Entrants currently living in the United States, as well as employees and the immediate family members of Spellbinders Paper Arts are ineligible for entry. Anyone currently designing for a competitor of Spellbinders Paper Arts is ineligible.

Contest is open to submissions from April 6, 2010, until 11:59 MST, April 20, 2010. The Winner will be announced on April 29, 2010, and completed blog posts with images are due by May 24, 2010.

Take Time To Relax...More MTME 50

Hi There! I am here to share another project made using some wonderful My Time Made Easy LLC products released April 1st. Lauren will be sharing some awesome projects too :)

This adorable, easy to make, multi-purposeful template can really hold a lot of so many different things! Lauren is offering some of this month's © Pretty Impressions stamps in digital format! Perfect for my needs with this project! I resized the sentiments that you see here on jars then cut them out using a Spellbinders Labels Four die :)

To give you an idea of what this template may be used for, I transferred some of my favorite bubble bath & bath salts from Bath & Body Works into Making Memories storage jars. You can really make a personalized gift holder using this amazing template for ANY occasion & those jars fit perfectly!

Who doesn't need to Take Time For Themselves? The MTME © Take Time set is packed full of various Bath/Spa images like the sentiment "Take Time For Yourself" that you see here!

Blessings...Just Us Girls Sketch Challenge 34

Hi Everyone! Time for a Sketch challenge with Just Us Girls, JUGS27! Kristin created this fun sketch for all to play with this week. I would like to welcome Sue Lelli as our April Featured Designer :) This will be Tracey's last challenge as a JUGS DT member, as she will be stepping down. Please take a second & head on over to Tracey's site for further details & leave her some love! :) Thanks so much Tracey for all the weekly inspiration! :)I wanted to share not only my card but this beautiful Cherub statue in her entirety with you :)Here is a closer view of my Blessings card:The elegant Gina K Designs Blessing sentiment says it all! You may know that I work as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. All I am going to share is that after seeing what I have seen for the past 11 years in the OR, I feel so Blessed in so many ways!!! When my co-workers gripe or as I am making that drive to work at 3 a.m. in the morning for an Emergency case, I count my Blessings for my health, family & friends (& papercrafting supplies)!

When I saw this fabulous sketch that Kristin created for this week's JUGS27 challenge, showcasing a beautiful flower sprouted in my thoughts :) It's not always easy to catch the shimmer of the Glimmer Mist when photographing but if you look closely or click the photo to enlarge, you can see the shimmer :)

Here is a quick tutorial on how I altered this beautiful flower:

Supplies Used:

1 paper flower (purchased at local craft store), heat gun, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Ranger Tim Holtz Antique Tea ink, sponge dauber

This photo shows what the flower looked like before I glammed it up!

This is super easy! Hold paper flower, spray Glimmer Mist, Heat with heat gun. Repeating the spraying step as many times as you like until you get the desired color! Using sponge dauber, apply distressing ink.

What do you think? What I love about it is you can spray a plain white flower with any color of Glimmer Mist!

Hi there! I am super excited to share that today, April 1st is the official start date of my journey with ALL the wonderful people at Spellbinders & the uber talented 2010-2011 Design Team! We will be spending several days together in Phoenix starting Wednesday, April 18th! I hopped along with the JustRite Mega Blog Hop last week & gained so much inspiration! So much eye candy to admire :) I paired this pretty JustRite image from the Breath of Spring set with this soft, subtle DCWV DP. I used the Spellbinders Long Classic Rectangles Large to cut out the floral image, then layered it on top of a scalloped frame cut using the Long Classic Scalloped Rectangles Large.

I don't have any JustRite sentiment stamps in my collection so I inked up the "Hope" image from the Gina K Lovely Labels set. Stitched on a strip of lace, tied a bow & attached the lil' tag!
