A vase full of red blossoms 27

Mona Pendleton | Monday, August 3, 2015 @ 9:00 PM | ,

Hi there! I've been wanting to learn how to paint abstract flowers so I can hopefully become skilled enough to paint a couple large pieces for my home that I am proud of. I started a new 11" x 14" art canvas art journal to practice painting.
In my search of on line tutorials, I discovered an amazing artist, Ginger Cook, who shares easy to follow tutorials on her YouTube channel and has a fantastic website (click HERE) full of beautiful artwork and a wealth of information.
I have a loooong way to go before I paint something for my walls but just like anything, I have to practice, practice, practice.
Since my goal is to paint some paintings for my home, my dear husband Scott surprised me with a basket full of professional grade acrylics :) Now, I'm really committed :)
Thanks so much for stopping by ~ I hope you have a great day / evening!
Be Sweet ;)

I think it's beautiful Mona. And using artist grade paint is the way to go...you get so much depth with the intense pigments. Keep painting!
