life is good 36

Hi there! Today I pulled out an art journal and had lots of fun playing around with a variety of Tim Holtz products including Distress Inks, Stains and Paint to name a few. I joined along with the current Compendium of Curiosities 3: Challenge 19: where the theme is to create a project featuring Frayed Fabric.

I created two wintery themed pages:
To create the backgrounds on both pages, I collaged Tim Holtz tissue paper to cover the surface, trimmed the edges with Tim Holtz tissue paper tape, adhered die cut Grungepaper Chevrons. Once dry, I randomly applied a variety of Tim Holtz Distress products shown below:
The first page features a sweet image from Found Relatives ~ Occasions which I layered and stitched to a piece of frayed Tim Holtz fabric:
Page 2 features a Tim Holtz frayed fabric die cut tag:
embellished with a couple of Tim Holtz Grungeboard Stacked Snowflakes and silver embossed stamped Tim Holtz snowflakes:
For added interest, I used Tim Holtz Bubble Layering stencil to add additional texture and design along with splatters of paint:
Here are some of the Tim Holtz products used:
For color inspiration, I joined along with the current Pals Paper Arts challenge:
I'm also joining along with Brenda's A Visual Journey 2015 weekly inspiration as well as A Vintage Journey where the challenge is to create a project inspired by a poem shared on their site ~ I was inspired by the word snow.

Thanks so much for stopping by ~ I hope you have a great Sunday!
Be Sweet ;)

P.S. ~ I'll be back tomorrow, January 5th  Midnight Eastern with an all new Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge ~ hope to see you then!

Gorgeous wintry pages Mona, the steely ice blues look perfect with the snowy scene and additional snowflakes and I love the frayed fabric as a wonderful contrast. Thanks for linking to A Visual Journey 2015 and A Vintage Journey (seeing the similarities in the titles them both together makes me smile).
Happy New Year to you and yours.

Mona...these are such beautiful pages in your journal! Your color scheme is perfect for a wintery feel. I love how you've embedded Tim's chevron die cut. It's so subtle but adds nice dimension. Your frayed fabric background behind that adorable vintage found relatives photograph and the coordinating tag on the opposite page are beautifully done. I also love the stacked snowflakes and silver embossed snowflakes. They complete your pages perfectly. Thanks for sharing your art with us at CC3C. Here's hoping that you have a wonderful 2015. <3 Candy
