It's a Mystery 52

Mona Pendleton | Sunday, November 17, 2013 @ 10:01 PM |

Hi there! Hope you had a super weekend! It's time for an all new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week's theme is: "It's A Mystery".

Have you ever wondered who that man represents in the Winged Things 2 stamp set? Was he an inventor from days gone by who dared to dream or was he a sketched image dreamed up in an artist's mind? It's a mystery to me!
I created a canvas featuring the mysterious man in the Winged Things 2 stamp set. I imagined him to be an inventor during the Industrial Revolution and  ran with that theme!
After layering strips of French Industrial paper on the Burlap Panel, I added texture using the Mini Harlequin stencil. Once dry, I randomly spritzed with various color washes.
I embellished with plenty of metal trinkets:
and die cut chipboard pieces:
Thank you for visiting ~ I hope you enjoyed my canvas!
Be Sweet ;)

I sound like a broken record, I'm sure, but once again, this project blew me away! This is one of my favorite ones ever! Your artwork is always so full of so many things to look at. I just stare at the screen, coma-like, with my eyes darting over all the components. I especially love the color palette on this one and those extra spritzes of color are amazing. Love this and always love the work that you do!
