a little Rain... 42

Mona Pendleton | Friday, December 30, 2011 @ 8:33 AM | ,

Hi there! Any big plans for ringing in the New Year? We are just going to hang out around home ~ hopefully see a movie or two this weekend :) I really want to see The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and the new Sherlock Holmes. We went to see The Adventures of Tintin with Connor and Meredith during the week and it was really good family entertainment. What awesome animation! Have you seen any good flicks lately?
I love the various cute umbrellas in the PTI Scattered Showers stamp set. It was one of my very first sets! I was in stampers Heaven when they released the coordinating die set! Such a time saver and the cut is perfect every time ~ gotta LOVE that!
I wanted to share this photo with you of a coyote that patrols/stalks our neighborhood! This photo was taken by Scott overlooking the wrought iron fence that runs along our back yard. I live near a mountain preserve and we have lots of desert wildlife running around. There has been a pack of four hanging out looking for food, I'm sure. I now carry a big walking stick when walking my fur babies to the mail box. Scott says to forget the stick and take a gun but I don't think the neighbors would appreciate that!
Thanks so much for visiting. Hope you have a safe and wonderful weekend! I'll be back Sunday, January 1st with an all new CR84FN! Be Sweet ;)

Stamps: PTI Scattered Showers, Scattered Showers Additions
Dies: Spellbinders Tear Drop Circles, Classic Circles, Classic Petal, PTI Umbrella, Grand Calibur
Patterned Paper: Pink Paislee Vintage Vogue ~ Tailored Suit

Love this card, Mona! That is such a wonderful set from Pti and I love how you used it, the raindrops on the background are so pretty. I normally don't like rain that much, but I do on your card, hi hi. Wauw, that photo is amazing! I can imagine you have to be careful with them walking around, but it's also an awesome idea and the surroundings of your home look awesome!!! Very, very, very different from the view out my window!!! :-D
Wishing you and your family all the best for the new year!!
Hugs, Wendy

Such a sweet card ... love that umbrella ... and I love the photo ... he looks a lovely guy ... friendly or not ... reminds me of my German shepherds ... how lovely to be able to see wildlife running around ... the most we see are foxes and squirrels!!

Aw! The card is really pretty! The Hallmark cards are okay but they are never unique. At Kohls, the almost never have dimensional cards which I love! Homemade cards are always the best because they are one of a kind and sentimental.

Gorgeous card, Mona! Love the rain theme! We need some here!! I saw the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and thought it was suspenseful but not as good as the book (as usual). Still worth seeing though! Thanks for sharing that amazing photo of the coyote! Wow, he's just roaming around just outside your backyard? Creepy!!! Life in Arizona, I guess! TFS!

Just wanted to pop in and wish you and yours a Happy New Year
I love the picture of the coyote, how wonderful to see so many animals but could be scary if you are walking a fur baby.
Cute card and image-would be a great thinking of you or encouragement card.
Take care and hugs

Darling card Mona. More purple again! I love it.

I don't think I would take a gun...be careful though. That could turn ugly quick. I wanted to see the Sherlock Holmes, but someone told me it wasn't good. I did see Twilight and loved it. :)

Happy New Year.
Hugs~

I would carry PEEPPER spray, & MAKE SURE it WORKS <(^.^)> Also if U want to keep them @ bay, they fear Lion's or other BIG Cata, if U go to Your Local Zoo, request of the zoo keeper the BIG Cat's waste straw, (This has the odor of the urine, it will keep the cotes AWAY, till the next big rain) That or even DEER SCRAM, wich is easier to buy @ your local nursery(this might ??work) but 4 sure the waste straw fm the zoo WILL WORK 2 keep them away! I would't b able 2 sleep, how brave u must B! Ur card IS very delightful I love the colors u chose it makes for anyone who would be feeling "blue"(no pund intended) to feel up-lifted! I wish U Ur furry friends a SAFE new year W many moments of joyful memory makings:)

Lovely card, Great papers and sweet umbrella. As always, just super!

Great photo of the coyote - not sure I want to be that close to one. No guns, but perhaps one of those loud air horns might be useful!!!

Wishing you and your family a very Happy New Year!
