Hi! It's official ~ I've made my first Christmas card for Christmas 2016!!! I'm joining along with the September PTI create Along With Us challenge. This challenge allows you to select something that the amazing team has created during the release that inspired you and you create your own version.
I was inspired by the beautiful card created by Amy Sheffer. I love the bag full of foliage:
For the main sentiment, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from the Season's Greetings stamp set on a die cut label. The die cut tiny tag and the snow flurries are all from the Winter Swirls stamp set:
It's Day 11 of 30 in 30:
Up next is a 5" x 7" painting featuring a pear that was inspired by an online art lesson presented by Hall Groat Oil Painting Video DVD course. The lesson is about color theory and this particular painting is focusing on a monochromatic color scheme. I also incorporated a new technique which is referred to as "fracturing" thatI learned from one of my favorite artists Julie Ford Oliver: I'm lovin' the loose brush and palette strokes and impressionistic style of this painting and can't wait to start painting another pear in another color scheme:

Both your card and your painting are wonderful Mona. And I have to mention - today I went to a small art gallery that is local to me in Harrogate. There were paintings of flowers - similar to yours but nowhere near as good.. and they were listed at £800 each!!! So you need to get selling!! LOL! I'll be your agent!! hehe!
