Here's my card for today's challenge: (all details are located HERE in the MFT Forum). One of the many things I love about MFT stamps is how easy it is to mix images from various sets.  I combined stamps from LJD Embellished Eggs, LJD Homespun Hearts and Inspired by Flowers Set #1 to create this card.
I combined the sweet flowers from LJD Embellished Eggs, with the leaves from LJD Homespun Hearts and a sentiment from Inspired by Flowers Set #1.
Thanks so much for visiting! Be sure to visit the MFT blog for a list of designers who are participating in the Love Fest and for COMPLETE details!

Thinking of You...MFTWSC104 42

Hi there! Hope you are all having a great holiday season and a very Merry Christmas to those who celebrated! It's Wednesday, so that means it's time for an all new My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge! Thanks to all who joined along ~ so many pretty cards! For additional inspiration from participating DT members, please be sure to visit the MFT Blog.
Here's the fun sketch that we are playing with this week:
This was not an easy card for me make nor an easy post for me to write. To keep a long story short, my 50 year young brother Albert passed away 2 days ago, Sunday, December 23rd so I made this card for my dear sister Tina who was very close friends with him. I have fond memories of my brother, mostly when we were young school age children but in all honesty, we were not close as the years went by and we both became involved with our own families and lives. Having been raised in a Catholic family of 11 children, there was so much chaos and commotion, I don't even know how my Mom kept our names straight! I will miss Albert and pray that he rests in peace and hope Tina finds comfort in receiving this card.

I stamped the pretty Daffodil image from Inspired By Flowers Set #1 using VersaMark ink on a piece of vellum that was cut using a Die-namics Rectangle STAX, Set 2 die, then heat embossed using fine white embossing powder. I layered the vellum on a Kraft die cut that was made using a Die-namics Postage Stamp STAX die.
I just love the beautiful detail in the daffodil:
I finished the inside with another heat embossed daffodil along with another beautiful sentiment from Inspired By Flowers Set #1. I stitched on a die cut border that was made using Die-namics Postage Stamp Edge.
Thanks so much for visiting! Hope you have a great day / evening!

Here's my take:
To make this card, I die cut pretty patterned paper from Prima using Die-namics Chevron Stripes. After die cutting and assembling the pattern, I stamped a sentiment from Inspired By Flowers Set #1

Mona Pendleton | Friday, December 14, 2012 @ 8:15 PM | , , , ,

Hi there! Hope you are all doing well! Surely many of you are busy as ever and hopefully enjoying the holiday season. I'm tickled pink to share with you that one of my holiday projects is featured on the beautiful Melissa Frances blog. I would be thrilled if you checked it out ~ click HERE :) Thank you!

My dear MIL Barbara had cataract surgery yesterday so I made her this card.
I combined pretty patterned paper from the Webster's Pages ladies & gents collection with a home made cardstock rose made using Die-namics Large Royal Rose. I stamped a sentiment from Inspired By Flowers Set #1 on a die cut strip made using a Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX die and added a few leaves made using Die-namics Royal Leaves.

Thinking of You...CR84FN65 Week 2 44

Mona Pendleton | Saturday, October 20, 2012 @ 8:55 PM | , , , , ,

Hi there! Hope all is well! I'm here to share a card I made for week #2 of the CR84FN65 Color Challenge. Thanks to all who have joined along so far - so many pretty projects in the gallery.
I made this card for a sweet friend of mine who recently lost a near and dear loved one.
I stamped and colored a pretty flower image from MFT Inspired by Flowers Set #2 on a die cut circle that was made using a Die-namics Circle STAX Set 2 die. The pretty die cut doily peeking out from behind was made using a Die-namics Dainty Doily DUO die.
To complete the inside of the card I stamped a sentiment from MFT Inspired By Flowers Set #1 on a die cut layered label that was made using Die-namics Layered Label Die.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Please be sure to visit the DT for wonderful inspiration (listed on my side bar) and the CR84FN site for COMPLETE details.
Be Sweet :)
