The next card features the Who's That Girl Gets Down To Business stamp set along with several soon to be released Die-namics. I paper pieced the girl's suit coat and skirt and colored her handbag using various Copic markers.
If you've visited me before, you know how much I love to create my own flowers well MFT is releasing a new Die-namics set called: Layered Rose which was used to make all the roses which are layered on top of a flourish that was cut using the Die-namics Medium Leafy Flourish that will be released this month as well!
I finished the inside of this card using a Die-namics Designer Labels 4 STAX die and the Die-namics Double Dot Border which are also included in the August release.
Shown below are the dies included in the August release that I used on my cards today:

Mona Pendleton | @ 10:00 PM | , , , , ,

Hi there! Welcome to an all new Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge! Allison is our
hostess and she is challenging us to CASE one of Flourishes DT Members from ANY of the Flourishes DTs.
This challenge will be my last as a FTTC DT Member and to show my appreciation for having the opportunity to be part of such a talented and friendly DT, I CASED none other than the Owner of Flourishes / Jan Marie Caruso

Shown below is Jan Marie's beautiful card:

and here is my CASED version of Jan Marie's card:
I chose this card because not only is it oh so pretty but it features the pretty floral pennant image from Flourishes Birthday Pennants set - one of my all time faves - that coordinates with Spellbinders Nested Lacey Pennants. The sweet sentiment is from Flourishes Hydrangea set. I added a few Melissa Frances bitty blossoms and a butterfly embellishment made using a Martha Stewart punch.
Thanks so much for visiting! I hope you ink up your Flourishes stamps and join in the fun!
Please be sure to visit the Flourishes blog for complete details and for some fabulous inspiration visit our July Guest Designer: Patti Gilliam and the entire DT: Heather,

The Best THINGS in LIFE...CR84FN59#2 45

Mona Pendleton | Saturday, July 28, 2012 @ 8:55 PM | , , , ,

Hi there! Hope you are all enjoying the weekend! I'm here today to share a card I made using the pretty CR84FN59 color combination. You still have a few days, so I hope you join along in the fun! I would like to take a moment to thank our July Guest Designer, Monika Davis for sharing her wonderful creativity with us over the last month!
To create this card mixed media kind of card, I first started by stenciling the background with some Gesso then added pretty patterned paper from Webster's Pages. I stamped a sentiment from the Die-namics Vertical Greetings 11 Die & Stamp Set on a label that was cut using the coordinating die that is included along with the stamp set.
I stitched the layers together then added a flower that was made using the beautiful Die-namics Upsy Daisy die and tucked under a few leaves that were made using Die-namics Royal Leaves:
For sketch inspiration, I played along with the current My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Camp sketch challenge:
Thanks so much for visiting! Please be sure to visit the CR84FN site for complete information and the entire CR84FN DT for some amazing inspiration: Sue Lelli, Shannon White and Deborah Frings.
Be Sweet :)

For you... 77

Mona Pendleton | Friday, July 27, 2012 @ 12:00 AM | ,

Hey there! Today, I have a little something fun to share. Several of the Waltzingmouse Stamps Design team members are using Waltzingmouse stamps to embellish bags from Pouch Mart - a web store that sells all shapes, colors and sizes of bags. The folks over at Pouch Mart generously sent us a few bags of our choice to create with and they are also offering a $25 Pouch Mart gift certificate for one lucky commenter. For complete details, refer to the bottom of this post.

For my projects, I filled a few darling 3 x 4 Polka Dot Organza Bags with some of my favorite chocolates then adorned each with an ornament tag made using stamps from the Waltzingmouse 2011 Holiday Ornaments set.

These little treat bags are perfect for giving that special someone a sweet little treat (holds 4 - 5 Dove chocolates). Just a taste to satisfy one's chocolate cravings ;)
Thanks so much for visiting! Please be sure to check out what bags each of these designers used for their projects today: Lynn Mercurio, Kelly Schirmer, Julia Aston, Anya Schrier, Tosha Leyendekker, Bonnie Sharp and the Pouch Mart blog.

***Here are the details:

Leave a comment on each blog - one lucky commenter will win a $25.00 gift certificate to the Pouch Mart and another lucky commenter will win a Waltzingmouse Stamp set! You have until Sunday, July 29th 11:59 pm EST to leave your comments! Winners will be announced on Julia's blog on Monday, July 30th.

A Featured Publication peek... 37

Mona Pendleton | Tuesday, July 24, 2012 @ 9:30 PM | , , ,

Hi there! Hope you are all having a great week! I'm super duper excited to share one of six cards that I currently have published in the awesome Simply Cards & papercraft Magazine Issue 100!!! I probably sound like a broken record but seriously, having something published for a crafty girl like me, is like winning the papercrafting lottery!!! Ha! If it were the "real" lottery, I could quit my "real" job and create a lot more but until then, I'll just keep pluggin' along, doing my thing :) Oh and I don't even play the lottery so guess I'll be a nurse for a few more years! :) LOL (One of my cards is shown in the upper left corner).
The featured suite of cards are all about the Intaglio technique. If that sparks your interest and/or curiosity, be sure to check out the Simply Cards & papercraft Magazine Issue 100 ;), you're sure to find MANY inspirational projects!
This card in particular, features the gorgeous butterfly amongst other pretty images from the Waltzingmouse Nordic Spring set.
Thanks so much for looking! Be Sweet ;)post signature

Mona Pendleton | Monday, July 23, 2012 @ 10:00 PM | , , ,

Hi there! Welcome to an all new Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge! It's my turn to be the hostess, so this week I chose a Christmas in July theme. Please pull out your favorite Flourishes Christmas/Holiday stamps and join in the fun! In case you haven't read on the Flourishes blog, Flourishes is currently have a HUGE sale on Christmas stamps, so be sure to visit the Flourishes blog for COMPLETE details.
I created a tag using a fun sentiment from the Flourishes Sentimental Christmas set which contains SIX wonderful sentiments that can be easily used to create many if not all of your Christmas projects! I stamped the sentiment then used a Spellbinders Labels One die to create a sentiment label to attach to the tag.
Thanks so much for visiting! I hope you ink up your Flourishes stamps and join in the fun!
Please be sure to visit the Flourishes blog for complete details and for some fabulous inspiration visit our July Guest Designer: Patti Gilliam and the entire DT: Heather,
Makiko, Cindy, Amanda, Denise, Allison.

On a side note, I've had several emails asking me after it was mentioned on a previous post by someone other than myself if it were true that I will be stepping down from the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge Design Team and the answer is yes. Next Tuesday will be my last challenge post as a FTTC DT member and I've had such a wonderful experience :) I owe many thanks to Jan Marie for such a wonderful opportunity as well as to Julie and I must say the many Flourishes DT's are nothing short of super talented and kind! Until next time...

my gratitude...CR84FN59 57

Mona Pendleton | Saturday, July 21, 2012 @ 8:55 PM | , , ,

Hi there! Hope you are enjoying this beautiful summer weekend! It's time for an all new CR84FN Color Challenge! Thanks to all who joined along last week ~ so many pretty projects! For nearly the next two weeks, we will be playing with the pretty color combination shown below:
I must admit, I love this color combination but found it quite challenging to create with! I relied heavily on some pretty patterned paper and PTI felt.
I used a PTI flower die along with some pretty felt to create the flower embellishment. Once die cut, I layered the flower on top of a doily that was made using the larger of the two dies from Die-namics Open Scallop Doily DUO set and finished it off with a pretty My Favorite Things Hot Fudge button.
Thanks so much for visiting! Please be sure to visit the CR84FN site for complete information and the entire CR84FN DT for some amazing inspiration: Monika Davis (July Guest Designer), Deborah Frings, Shannon White, Pauline Pollington, Sue Lelli, Andrea

Some of you asked me to take and share photos of my card class at Paper Tales, so here you go... I owe a HUMUNGOUS thanks to Michelle White, Owner of Paper Tales for not only inviting me but also encouraging me to teach at her fabby store and of course many thanks to the lovely ladies who attended the class :)

Welcome to Paper Tales
The photo below is from one of the first classes I taught at Paper Tales where the class was held in the beautiful store:
Paper Tales is growing and so did my class, so yesterday the class was held in the soon to be Paper Tales addition. Here are a few photos of several of the lovely ladies busy creating:
and here they took a moment to smile for the camera :)
Some yummy cupcakes from my favorite bakery, Heavenly Cupcake, to satisfy one's sweet tooth while creating:
and here are some non-edible cupcakes made by the sweet and awesomely talented Karin Aguirre:
She was so generous and kind and gave me one of my own to take home :)
Thanks so much for looking!
Be Sweet :)
