***I have two posts today, if you get a chance, please feel free to take a peek at my other post, click HERE :)
Hi there! Today I'm sharing my final project as a guest designer for Gina's Designs. I am honored and grateful to have been invited to join along as a guest designer on the Gina's Designs blog (click HERE) showcasing some of her amazing chipboard products that may be found in the Gina's Designs online store (click HERE). I would like to thank Gina for the wonderful opportunity and thanks to all of you who took the time to visit and leave such kind and encouraging comments :)
For my final project, I created a layout featuring of sweet Meredith that was taken at the top of a volcano on Maui surrounded by fabulous designs from the following Gina's Designs sets: Scribbled Frames and Lines, Fern Fronds, Words & Phrases 2, and Curly Cages:
The title is one of the many fun designs included in the Words & Phrases 2 set. Both layered frames and scribbled lines at the top of the page are from the Scribbled Frames and Lines set:
To make the chipboard pieces "pop", I heat embossed all the designs:
All three fancy bird cages are from the Curly Cages set:

For color inspiration, I joined along with the current Scrap Africa challenge:
and for sketch inspiration, I joined along with the current Stuck?! sketch challenge:
Many thanks for stopping by! Thanks so much for stopping by! Please be sure to visit the Gina's Designs blog for some outstanding creative inspiration and if you are looking to add some great quality chipboard designs to your craft stash, please be sure to visit the Gina's Designs store (click HERE).

Hi there! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today I have a couple of VERY different projects to share. First one up is a page in my art journal. I'm trying to paint more often hoping to learn different techniques and brush strokes along the way so I can tackle those big canvas's for my home.

Next up is a rather clean and simple Halloween card featuring a variety of PTI and MFT products:

For color inspiration for both, I joined along with the ColourQ colour challenge:
and for the card sketch inspiration, I joined along with the Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge, flipping the sketch 90 degrees counter clockwise:

Hi there! I'm so excited to be playing along with this month's PTI Blog Hop!
This month's challenge, participants were asked to create a project based upon the inspiration photo shown below:
I was inspired with the fun and festive traditional color palette so I created a shaker card using the Tree shaker die along with a sentiment from Vintage Ornaments:

For sketch inspiration, I joined along with the current Freshly Made Sketches sketch challenge:
Many thanks for stopping by! Happy hopping!

Dream Without Fear 28

Mona Pendleton | Saturday, October 24, 2015 @ 2:21 PM | , ,

Hi there! I hope you are having a great weekend! Today I have a page to share that I created in my art journal featuring a Kelly Rae Roberts inspired primitive style girl:
To create the background, I collaged pieces of pretty papers from the 7Dots Studio Cold Country collection then applied many layers of various paints and stenciled images including flowers and a woodgrain design:

I gave her a set of wings which I made using a piece of fun paper from the 7Dots Studio Destination Unknown collection and a heart from the Cold Country Elements page:
For the title, I used a Cold Country Word Sticker:

I'm entering my page in Kim Dellow's Show Your Face challenge as well as the current 7Dots Studio challenge where the theme is to create a project featuring "woodgrain".
Thanks so much for stopping by!

merry christmas...Guest Designing 32

Mona Pendleton | Tuesday, October 20, 2015 @ 11:00 PM | , , , ,

Hi there! Today I'm so happy to share with you a trio of Christmas cards featuring fabulous designs from the following Gina's Designs sets: Ornamental Birdcages and Fern Fronds that I created as a guest designer for Gina's Designs. Please feel free to check out my post here on the Gina's Design blog (click HERE).
I couldn't help but make three cards because both the Ornamental Birdcages and Fern Fronds sets contain so many beautiful pieces. Each birdcage and fern frond is so unique and elegant. All chipboard designs were embossed using embossing enamel.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Please be sure to visit the Gina's Designs blog for some outstanding creative inspiration and if you are looking to add some great quality chipboard designs to your craft stash, please be sure to visit the Gina's Designs store (click HERE).

create joy 34

Mona Pendleton | Monday, October 19, 2015 @ 7:30 PM | , ,

Hi there! I hope you had a great weekend! Today I have a mixed media page to share in my art journal featuring a "new" style face/girl. I'm having fun creating joy as I experiment with various styles, techniques and products.
I'm joining along with the current PaperArtsy 2015 Topic Faces challenge where we are challenged to create a face. I've long admired Kelly Rae Roberts primitive style girls which inspired me to create my page:
I love the whimsical / free style face which is obviously not realistic:
The background was created mostly with collaged paper from the Prima life time collection, along with various paints, stencils and stamped images from the PaperArtsy HP1004 stamp set:

I'm also entering my page in Kim Dellow's Show Your Face challenge.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
