Best Friends... 44

Hi there! So happy the weekend is here! Scott and I are hanging out in San Diego for the next few days. I will be teaching a card class at my favorite paper San Diego paper crafting store ~  Paper Tales Saturday morning but the rest of the time, will be spent just relaxing :) I made this card for my sweet sister Tina who will be loving Gretchen and Griffin while we're away. My little suburbanite dogs don't do very well traveling in the car for 5 hours nor do they enjoy city living.

I made this card using the darling girl image from My Favorite Things fun a la modes You Anchor Me stamp set along with a few Die-namics. Sure wish I had her long lean legs! To create the rolled rose, I used the smallest of the two dies from the Die-namics MINI Rolled Roses set along with pretty My Favorite Felt English Rose and to create the sentiment tag, I stamped the Best Friends sentiment from My Favorite Things Essential Sentiments on strip from Die-namics Sentiment Strips set.

The Perfect Punch with Pink Paislee 44

Hello! Today I have a layout to share for an assignment on the Pink Paislee blog ~ Creating Layered Embellishments ~ click HERE. This week, the theme is The Perfect Punch. I hauled my box of well loved punches in from the garage and unleashed some fun!

Paper punches are available in soooo many shapes and sizes ~ surely something for everyone! I used quite a variety of punches along with product from the Indigo Bleu Collection to create the layout shown below featuring a photo of my sweet husband Scott that was taken while we on a trip in Europe.

Using a combination of flower punches and patterned paper, I made a trio of layered flower embellishments and finished each of them off with either a button or brad from the Boutique Flair pack. The center flower embellishment is perched upon a fan fold decoration that was made using a decorative edge punch. All the flowers are layered on top of square doilies that were also made using various edge punches.

And here are a few punched layered butterfly embellishments also featuring brads and buttons from the Boutique Flair pack. The journaling strips were punched as well and then fun little Indigo Bleu Bitty Blocks letters were used to spell out the journaling.

hello, my friend...CR84FN58 50

Hi there! Hope you are all enjoying the weekend! I have a card to share using the colors from the CR84FN58 Color Challenge using the fun colors shown below:

I pulled out a PTI stamp set that I bought nearly a month or so ago and just never made the time to ink it up but just HAD to have ;0 LOL The sentiment is from the fun Die-namics Just My Type Die & Stamp Set.

I made a cluster of various sized felt rolled roses using Die-namics Royal Roses which cut right through the felt like butter! The little leaves were made using Die-namics Royal Leaves ~ just LOVE the embossed vein impression on those leaves!
