Lucky...OUAS September 34

Hi there! Hope you are having a great week! It's time for a new sketch to play with at Once Upon A Sketch. This month, we ask you to focus on the journaling theme: "Lucky".

Here's the fun sketch we will be playing with:

I scrapped a trio of photos of Meredith as she was saddling up and riding her horse. These photos were taken nearly 10 years ago! 

I layered the photos on distressed patterned paper, stitched in place then embellished with a pretty white washed Imaginarium Designs chipboard dragonfly: 

I randomly stamped the chicken wire image from Distressed Background Blocks:

I framed Meredith riding her horse with a pretty white washed  Imaginarium Designs chipboard frame:

For the title, I stamped a sentiment from MFT Complimentary Greetings then framed it with a fancy white washed Imaginarium Designs chipboard frame and embellished it with an Imaginarium Designs chipboard heart:

Bucket List...MFT September NPT 35

Hi there!  Welcome to the MFT September NPT where you'll get a look at ALL the new stamp sets one more time. You can finalize your wish list and head over to the MFT Boutique to SHOP until your hearts content! All the new products are available NOW, right HERE! Thanks to all those who took the time to leave such kind and encouraging comments over the past week. I am very grateful for your time! I hope you like all the new MFT products as much as I do!

Tonight I have a variety of projects to share focusing on my newest products: Winged Beauties stamp set, Die-namics Winged Beauties, the Winged Beauties Stencil, the Scallops Stencil, the Checkerboard Stencil and the Houndstooth Stencil while of course including many other fab products included in the new release.

First up is a layout featuring a photo of me taking my sweet Westies: Gretchen and Griffin for a stroll :)

To create this layout, I stitched a piece of paper that I made using the Gelli Arts plate onto a piece of card stock then using the Winged Beauties Stencil, I added a trail of fluttering butterflies. 

I embellished it with Contemporary Roses:

and various sized Winged Beauties:

Layered behind the photo is pretty die cut paper that was created using the Die-namics Fancy Butterflies die and I stamped a few sentiments using LLD Journal It - Take Note then adorned each sentiment with small butterflies made using Die-namics Winged Beauties:

Next up is another layout featuring a photo of Meredith feeding the giraffes at the San Diego Wild Animal Park several years ago:

Using the Houndstooth Stencil, I added a lot of texture and design to the background then embellished with various butterflies made using Winged Beauties 

as well as the Die-namics Fancy Butterflies die:

I also embellished with stamped / die cut Contemporary Roses along with a variety of handmade rolled roses:

I journaled on a die cut piece of notebook paper that was made using a Die-namics Mini Album Torn Notebook STAX die. I stamped the paper lines, checkmark and title using images from LLD Journal It - Take Note and also added a clock made using MPD Timeless. 

Last but not least is a card featuring a back ground that was stenciled using the Scallops Stencil and topped off with a butterfly and sentiment from the Winged Beauties stamp set

FALL...MFT September Teasers Day 7 49

Hi there! Welcome to Day 7 of the MFT September Teasers! The new products will be available on TONIGHT at 10 PM Eastern in the MFT Boutique. Today I have a layout to share featuring the MPD Checkerboard Stencil and LJD Autumn Leaves as well as a variety of other fun MFT products. I scrapped a photo of Connor hanging out in a tree. The photo was taken over 10 years ago. 

To create this layout, I first applied a lot of texture using the MPD Checkerboard Stencil then I added lots of fall colors. Peeking out from behind the photo is chicken wire that was made using the Die-namics Mini Chicken Wire die.

For a simple embellishment, I stamped / die cut a trio of leaves using LJD Fall Foliage. 

I embellished with a trio of stamped / die cut Fall Foliage and a steel grey button: 

Along the bottom of the page, I stamped a border using the fun swirly image from LJD Fall Foliage then embellished with a trio of stamped / die cut Fall Foliage:

For added interest, I randomly stamped the checkerboard image from MPD Distressed Background Blocks and added a title that was made using Die-namics Uppercase High-Rise Alphabet:

A personal ALL-star 38

Hi there! I hope you had a great weekend! It's Monday so it's time for an all new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge on the Simon Says Monday Challenge blog! This week's theme we are focusing on our personal ALL-star product ~ one that we can not live without!

I was inspired to create this mixed media wall hanging using my all-time favorite  Jet Black ink pad.

I love to use Jet Black ink especially when creating mixed media projects because it is non-water based which allows me to stamp crisp images then layer with various mediums. Using a Grand Oval die, I die cut a piece of patterned paper then stamped many images from Attic Treasures using Jet Black ink then layered various mediums including: Color Shine, Color Wash and Distress ink.

I embellished with a die cut Dress Form that was stamped using Jet Black ink, painted with Seedless Preserves then coated with a layer of crackle paint.
