Happy Birthday 36

Hi there! I'm so happy the weekend is here! Lots going on here ~ Meredith has her horse riding lesson on Saturday and then we are driving up North to Prescott on Sunday to drop Connor off for a week long soccer camp! It's hard to believe Summer vacation is nearly over for them. The first day of the new school year is July 26th! Summer CHA is also right around the corner and Pink Paislee will be releasing some new AMAZING products!

I took a break from working on required DT projects and made this card for a dear friend of mine who will be celebrating her birthday this month. I used pretty patterned papers from the Pink Paislee London Market collection along with the Die-namics Chevron Stripes die to make my own Chevron patterned paper. I also made a felt rolled rose embellishment including leaves using a combination of a Die-namics MINI rolled Rose die and Die-namics Royal Leaves die.

Sisters by birth, Friends by choice...July OUAS 59

Hi there! I hope everyone that celebrates has a fun and safe 4th of July celebration! We're meeting up with Jerry and April for lunch then just hanging around home relaxing. Maybe I will get to sneak in some craft time ;)

I have my sample for the July Once Upon A Sketch challenge to share with you today. We would like you to create a layout and interpret the theme "Friend" however you like based on the following sketch. Theme: Friend

I scrapped a layout featuring a photo of my sweet BFF / sister Tina and I that Scott took of us upon returning from a long bike ride :) Not glamorous looking by any means just dressed for comfort. Padded bike shorts a must!!!

To create the title, "Sisters by birth, Friends by choice" I pulled out my little dymo label maker and punched away and to create the journaling, I pulled out my trusty Vintage typewriter and typed a quote "No Birth Certificate is issued when a friendship is born". So true of Tina and I. We are the best of friends by choice. We come from a big Catholic family, 11 children total and Tina is the only sister that I keep in touch with.

I made a boat load of flowers using a combination of Die-namics and Spellbinders as well as some Spellbinders Sprightly Sprockets die cut pieces. I added some pink Perfect Pearls to make them appear a bit girly ;0

Celebrate...FTTC176 44

Hi there! Welcome to an all new Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge! This week Maki is our lovely hostess and the theme she chose is "All about the summer!" ~ create a card/project focusing on a Summer theme.

When I think of Summer, I automatically think of celebrating the 4th of July so I ran with that in mind and created a mini home decor piece combining Flourishes stamps, various Spellbinders dies and fun patterned paper from the Pink Paislee Declaration collection.

I inked up celebrate sentiment and the floral pennants from the Flourishes Birthday Pennants stamp set (one of my all time faves)!

and finished it off a few roses made using a Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms die:

July WMS Blog Waltz 78

Welcome to the Waltzingmouse Stamps July Release waltz! Many thanks for the sweet comments over the past 3 days :) Today, all four of the following sets: Heroines - Fairy Princess, My Island, North Shore and Playful Pinwheels are now available for purchase in the Waltzingmouse Stamps on line store. You should have arrived from Belinda's blog, if not you can head on over to Claire's blog where the celebration began and for complete details.

Today, we are all focusing on the fun Playful Pinwheels stamp set, which includes LOTS of fun pinwheels and sentiments to play with!

To create the pinwheel, I did a wee bit of paper piecing which was super duper easy! I first stamped the larger pinwheel outline image twice then filled in the larger polka dot and solid pieces with the coordinating stamps. I cut the smaller inside pinwheel then popped it on with a glue dot. It's perched inside a teeny jar from a retired Spellbinders die set that I just can't part with! After die cutting the jar, I colored the lid with Copics and pieced on top of the jar that was stamped using the reverse polka dot stamp from Gingham & Co.
