Sew Happy! 57

Hi there! Almost half way to the weekend already - time surely flies when I have the day off from work! I started the day off with a visit to the Dentist then rewarded myself with a good work out at the gym and lunch with my hubby :) LOL I DREAD visiting the Dentist but unfortunately, it is one of those necessary evils.

I had a chance to sneak in some crafty me time so I made this card featuring Taylored Expressions Sew Happy "petite" set from Taylor's December Release. Don't let the word "petite" fool you - this set is full of amazing images and sentiments!

After inking up the dress form image, I colored it using Copic Markers then using a S4-110 Classic Ovals LG die template to cut/emboss the image. I popped it up using foam adhesive square on top of a layer that was cut/embossed using a S4-294 Beaded Oval die template.

Finished it off with a tag displaying the sew happy sentiment. For sketch inspiration, I played along with this Mercy's awesome sketch challenge: MTSC103

Cupid...CR84FN6 61

Hi there! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. Here today with a new color challenge. Thanks to all who played along over the last few weeks, there were a record number of 35 participants, ALL whom had beautiful projects to share!

Here is my take on this week's colors:

I have to give my dear hubby, Scott, credit for choosing this week's color combo! He knows how much I love pink & aqua especially when combined together and insisted this challenge focus on those colors. After all since he is the one creating the graphic, I "let" him have his way :) I immediately pulled out the Pink Paislee Sweetness pack of paper and some of my other favorite crafty products to create my card.

I inked up the Cupid image from Pink Paislee Cupid with Memento Timber Brown ink then applied Ranger Rock Candy. Can you see the crackled appearance? In real life, the effects are incredible. Tocreate the shimmery, glittered Tattered Angels glimmer chip, I first sprayed the frame with Tattered Angels Cherry Blossom Glimmer Mist then glittered it up with some yummy glitter from my stash and topped it off with a Prima flower.

WITH Love...WMSC26 52

Hi there! I hope you all had a great week! Time for another Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge. Here is what I have to offer:

This card is rather CAS. To make the card front all I did was cut/emboss the two pretty pieces of DP from My Mind's Eye Lush Collection using a LF-114 Grand Circle die template, cut each in 1/2 then adhere to a scalloped cut layer that was cut/embossed using a LF-124 Grand Scalloped Circle die template and stitch around the edges.

After cutting/embossing and sewing the card front together, I had a blast adorning it with a few of my favorite things. First and foremost is the sweet tag that was made using the WITH Love sentiment from Fancy Phrases and a decorative motif. Fancy Phrases is probably my "go to" sentiment set because it includes such a variety of sentiments and the font is to die for!  After stamping both these images, I made the tag using a S4-190 Labels Four die template.

Taylored Expressions December Release 44

Hi there! Here today to share a little gift set that I made using Taylored Expressions Collector's Anonymous "Petite"stamp set that is available for purchase TODAY. Taylor is introducing 4 new "Petite" stamp sets each containing 7-8 images/sentiments for just $7.95 each. This incredible value makes them a great gift or stocking stuffer for crafty friends and family or the perfect little gift for yourself!

 When I first saw this stamp set, I immediately thought of my crafty friends. Who doesn't love to receive a lil' jar full of buttons? If you are like me - you can't get enough! I keep reminding my hubby - "it's a healthy addiction" :)

I inked up the lil' jar image full of buttons, colored using the Copic markers shown below then using a S4-116 Standard Circles SM die template to cut/emboss the image and layered it on top of a lacey circle mat cut/embossed using a S4-293 Lacey Circles die template.

All this crafty goodness is layered on top of sweet patterned paper from the October Afternoon Thrift Shop Collection. A piece of ribbon, flower embellishment and a tag can really dress up a jar of buttons! The sentiment Join the Club just cracks me up! Nothing like enabling the weak :)
