Hi there! I hope you are all having a great weekend! Were you out and about shopping on Black Friday? I'm not one for crowds - I like my personal space - it sort of irritates me to get elbowed, nudged or my ankles bumped by a baby stroller so no shopping for me on Friday. I prefer Cyber Monday myself - now that is my sort of shopping - hanging out in the comforts of my home while shopping :) I made this card to share today:
I love the lil' snowman image from
Waltzingmouse Sewing Box - Christmas so I inked him up, colored the hat and highlighted the edges with the
Copic Markers listed below then using a sharp scissors to trim around the edges. For color inspiration, I referred to the
CR84FN5 challenge which has been extended due to the Thanksgiving Day holiday. For COMPLETE details, please click

and for sketch inspiration, I joined in the fun with this week's
Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge.
I popped the lil' guy up with a few foam adhesive squares on a snowflake embossed label cut using a
S4-161 Labels One die template, smudged on white chalk ink to highlight the embossed background then stitched to a frame cut using a
S4-295 Lacey Square die template using a whimsical sort of stitch.
What do you think of the shimmery snowflake? It is a pre-cut foam snowflake that I applied some glue to then sprinkled on some
Melissa Frances Mica flakes.

He's adorable! The red snowflake paper is wonderful ... I love it. During a previous visit here I left convienced that I NEEDED the crown dies (so I bought them - pure joy). Now, I absolutely have to HAVE mica chips! Thanks for the inspiration!

What a sweetie pie snowman ... I {heart} his blanket stitching borders!! I'm with you, Mona! I don't care for crowds, pushing and shoving. I like to shop when it's quite and I can concentrate on what I need to get!! A weekend IN crafting sounds like HEAVEN, don't you think!!!
You might think I'm crazy but I live for big shopping days like Black Friday! I was out and about by 5am on Friday and didn't return home until around 4pm!!! So many bargins and so little time! Whooohoo!!

Hi Mona, hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and weekend! Shopping is not my big thing either, so I'm content to watch on the sidelines and maybe do some online ordering on Monday! I really want Santa to bring me your talent; you have so much, I think you could share just s bit with me!!!! Mona, I'm like you, I have no interest in dealing with those big shopping crowds! Much nicer to just order it and wait for the UPS guy to arrive!!!! Now, if there was a store selling your creations like this beautiful card, I'd put on my camos and boots and get up early to be first in line!!!

Mona, your cards are always so inspiring! I'm gonna have to "borrow" a few of your ideas here! My favorite part is the neat meandering stitching! I reminds me of patterns in the ice after skating! It looks like most aren't into the Black Friday crowds but I really don't mind it! I always find some great bargins as long as I plan ahead!
