A Lil' Princess...CR84FN5 68

Mona Pendleton | Sunday, November 21, 2010 @ 12:14 AM | , ,

Hi there! I hope you are all having a great weekend! I'm here today with a new color challenge. Thanks to all who played along last week - it's so fun to see so many different projects using the same color combo! The randomly selected participant for the CR84FN6 Guest Designer is:
Andrea, I would be honored if you would join along as my Guest for the next challenge :)
The gorgeous photos displayed in the graphic are courtesy of Leslie from a creative MINT.
***Due to the hectic schedules during the Thanksgiving Holiday celebrated in the US, I would like to extend the CR84FN5 challenge over 2 weeks rather than 1, hopefully giving all who would like to play adequate time :)

I would like to introduce you to this week's Guest Designer:
Pauline's amazing creations can be found at Craft Obsession.

Pauline made this darling Christmas card and coordinating door hanger for her eldest daughter:
I love those cute lil gingerbread men with the rhinestone buttons and twinkling background :)
Here's the door hanger that simply screams it's Christmas time!
Thank you so much for joining along with me for this week's challenge :) I hope you all head on over to visit Pauline (click HERE) to see complete details and leave her some love :)

Here's my interpretation:
I made this LO for my dear friend/co-worker featuring her precious Princess Jocelyn :) I had so much fun making this page. I was first a "scrapper" before discovering card making and I don't do nearly as much as I would like to but that is going to change. To me, scrapbooking is just like cardmaking except you have a much bigger canvas to work with especially if you are making a 12" x 12" LO. To get my scrappin' MOJO going, I turned to this week's Creative Scrappers #94 sketch at Sketches In Thyme:
I LOVE multi-layered embellishments to say the least and this LO surely has a few scattered about. In the photo below, there is a pretty crocheted flower courtesy of my sweet sister Tina, a crown embellishment made using a S4-297 Nested Crowns die template with a flower made using left over paper from a sewing pattern and a lovely butterfly embellishment made using a S3-146 Butterflies Two die template all on top of a Prima pearl flourish.
The fun butterfly below was made using a S4-123 Flying Beauties die template with a Prima jewel adhered in the center and sits on top of a flourish made using the scrolly flourish from S4-287 Fanciful Holiday die templates.
Thank you for visiting! I hope you are able to play along :)

Now for the CR84FN Challenge details:

I would like to invite ONE randomly selected participant as the next challenge's Guest Designer :) I would like to keep things on an even playing ground so in order to do so, all you need to do is follow a few simple guidelines:

*Please display the CR84FN graphic with your post if you have a blog. Leslie graciously offers her photos as inspiration and I would like to give her proper recognition. My dear hubby Scott takes the time to create the graphic. Seeing the graphic makes it much easier to locate your entry on your blog.

*Please do not combine the CR84FN with any other COLOR challenges.

*Work must be original.

*You are more than welcome to submit as many creations as you like however, the number associated with your first entry will be the number considered in the random generator.

Once you have your project photographed and uploaded to your blog or on-line gallery, please link the URL to your entry on this post using Inklinkz. If you use an on-line gallery, please be sure to use CR84FN5 as the keyword and if you have a blog, please display the graphic so I can easily find your entry. I hope you come join along and Create For Fun!

Challenge runs through: Saturday, December 4th 9:00 PM Eastern US time.

REMEMBER: ***Due to the hectic schedules during the Thanksgiving Holiday celebrated in the US, I would like to extend the CR84FN5 challenge over 2 weeks rather than 1, hopefully giving all who would like to play adequate time :)
