This first card was quite simple to make. A little bit different from my usual style but I was pleased with the outcome. What do you think? I focused on the one of the many beautiful MTME © All A Flutter Sentiments image. I stamped the image then centered the Spellbinders Labels 1 die over & ran it through my Sizzix Big Shot Express machine then layered it on a larger brown frame. The background was embossed using the Cuttlebug Florished Farm EF. I trimmed it to size then rubbed on a bit of Ranger Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink.
Each flower embellishment on this particular card was made by layering the wonderfully whimsical MTME © Pretty Printables Fluttering-by brown Definitions digital paper, SU Elegant Eggplant & Kraft cs.
For color inspiration, I played along with the current embellish magazine challenge using the color combination of purple, brown & kraft. This color palette is very pretty so I made several cards with it but you may notice the challenge is to not only to use these colors but you must incorporate stripes on your project as well!
Here is my Lovely Butterfly card:
This butterfly embellishment was so much fun to make! I love how the MTME © Pretty Impressions All A Flutter stamp set comes with so many different butterfly "parts", allowing you to mix & match to get that perfect image for your project! I previously posted a "mini" tutorial (Butterfly Garden) showing just how easy it is to make your own butterfly embellishments using this awesome, versatile set. Once I stamped the butterfly image & cut it out I layered it with a butterfly that was cut using the MTME © Pretty Pieces: Flowers & Flutters cut file. These two products make a perfect pair!
Here is my Fluttering Hearts card:
For sketch inspiration, I played along with Sarah's fun Bonus sketch at 2Sketches4You. I thought it was an awesome sketch to showcase these beautiful MTME © All A Flutter Butterfly images! The center butterfly embellishment is the same as the one I made for the previous Lovely Butterfly card & the two accent butterflies I made by first inking up the "solid body" butterfly image with SU Sahara Sand, stamping then stamping the butterfly "outline" image with SU Chocolate Chip. I cut these sweet little butterflies out by hand, embossed them with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots EF then layered them with the butterfly cut using the MTME © Pretty Pieces Flowers & Flutters cut file.
