Hi! Today Angie and I are driving to Tucson to browse around the Tucson Gem Show which is the 2nd largest gem show in the country. We're both hoping to find something sparkly ;) I set my paints and palette aside to make some room on my desk to create a rather simple Valentine's Day card for one of my sisters. Sometimes it's overwhelming to me how many supplies it takes to create just one card.
When we moved nearly a year ago, I downsized a lot of my papercrafting supplies donating them to Angie's college fund garage sale :) Over the years, I had accumulated a ridiculous amount of papers, stamps and dies from various companies I had designed for or purchased myself that I no longer had the desire to hang on to. I saved a few bins of patterned paper including the prints that I used to create this card. I don't know who makes it or how old it is, I love it anyways :) I made a felt flower with beautiful PTI felt that seems to cut like butter in the die cut machine!
For sketch inspiration, I joined along with the paper players challenge:
Thanks so much for visiting ~ I hope you have a great weekend!

I love that pattern paper! Especially the way you used it on this fun card!
How sweet is this! Great design!
Gorgeous! Love the PP you used!
Lovely layers and a sweet felt bloom! Pretty card Mona!
Beautiful card Mona. Nice detail matching the circle placement to the background. It looks awesome! Thanks for joining us this week at the Paper Players.
I love looking at your paintings but a card as gorgeous as this is also amazing to see. Great idea to sell the stuff for a very good cause; raising money to enable college for your daughter. Following you for quite some time I know that you worked a long list of amazing brands and manufacturers. I got an idea how much it must have been. And yes; sometimes when you make just one card your creatvie space ends up a creative disaster with supplies everywhere:)
I love the layers and detail of your card Mona; beautiful felt flower and papers - some papers are just too good to let go! Thanks for joining us over at The Paper Players this week!
Mona this card is fabulous! The papers are so sweet, and I love the felt flower. I'll have to check out that PTI felt. I am constantly trying to purge too, but it's a never ending task as I keep purchasing more. I'm going to have more self control in 2016... So glad you joined us at The Paper Players!
