Waltzingmouse Stamps/Spellbinders Grand Calibur Event 131

Mona Pendleton | Friday, January 21, 2011 @ 1:00 AM | , ,

Hi there! Today I am here to share THREE projects I created using a combination of Waltzingmouse Rescue Remedies and Rescue Remedies Additions, the Spellbinders Grand Calibur along with various die templates. Claire, Owner of Waltzingmouse Stamps thought this was an excellent time to showcase various Spellbinders products and how well they work with Waltzingmouse Stamps! And of course prizes and a competition are involved! Just pop over to the Waltzingmouse Stamps blog for all the details and links to those who are posting projects each day.

Please keep in mind this post focuses on Waltzingmouse Rescue Remedies and Rescue Remedies Additions only. There are COUNTLESS ways to mix and match these two stamp sets. Today, I have THREE projects to share so please be prepared for a long post with lots of pics :)

First up, is a layout I created featuring a photo of my longtime girlfriend, Caroline and myself while on a hike on Camelback Mountain, AZ.
I stamped the sentiment GLAD YOU'RE IN MY CORNER from Rescue Remedies Additions on a Tim Holtz ticket and added a label to the page on the right hand side that was stamped using an image from Rescue Remedies.
Did you happen to notice the LARGE Labels Four shape that the photo is layered upon? The Labels Four die template now comes in THREE various sizes: LF-190 Grand Labels Four, S4-190 Labels Four and NOW S4-309 Labels Four SM which will be released during Winter CHA! To make the label, I cut 3 strips of various Melissa Frances DP 6" W x 3.5" H, layered on top each other 3" apart slightly adhering the edges then placed a LF-190 Grand Labels Four die template on top, then cut/embossed using the Grand Calibur.
After cutting the patterned Labels Four, I layered it on top of a white label that was cut using the next larger size die template then adhered the edges only to the layout and stitched in place across the seams.
Here is the entire collection of the Labels Four die templates:
Next up is a little treat box gift ensemble.
First, I adorned the box with various beautiful Melissa Frances DP. I stamped a label from Rescue Remedies then using a S4-190 Labels Four die template to cut/emboss the image, inked the edges with distressing ink, adhered a pearl then adhered to front of box. The pretty Denim colored seam binding is courtesy of Kimberly at My Craft Spot.
I created this tag by combining a few stamps from both Rescue Remedies & Rescue Remedies Additions.
Shown in the photo below are the steps showing how I stamped the tag. First, I cut/embossed a tag using a NEW S4-309 Labels Four SM die template then stamped the ENJOY sentiment from Rescue Remedies Additions followed by stamping the motif image from Rescue Remedies below and above the sentiment. So easy to mix and match images from these two sets, making the possibilities endless!
The gift ensemble includes a lil' 3"W x 3"H Thank You card and envelope. The sentiment on the card was stamped using an image from Rescue Remedies Additions and the envelope was stamped using images from Rescue Remedies.
Last but not least is a small jar filled with candy and covered with a decorative fabric topper including a few tags:
From above, you can see how I added a lil' paper doily that was cut/embossed using a die template from the NEW S5-040 Floral Doily Accents that will be released at Winter CHA! The label image that reads SWEET CONFECTIONS is from Rescue Remedies and the FOR YOU tag was stamped by combining the FOR YOU sentiment from Rescue Remedies an the motif is from Rescue Remedies Additions.
Shown in the next two photos is how I made the scalloped fabric stamped jar topper. In the photo below you can see how perfectly a LF-124 Grand Scalloped Circle die template cut the muslin fabric:
After cutting the scalloped fabric topper, I inked up the two various sized floral images from Rescue Remedies, stamping along the scalloped border, alternating each image:
I hope you have enjoyed the projects I shared with you today and I hope I have given you some new ideas on how you can use Waltzingmouse Rescue Remedies and Rescue Remedies Additions as well as Spellbinders™ Nestabilities® LF-190 Grand Labels Four, S4-190 Labels Four, S4-309 Labels Four SM, S5-040 Floral Doily Accents, LF-124 Grand Scalloped Circles and GC-001 Grand Calibur. Please be sure to visit the Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog for more inspiration and for all the details including links to those who are posting projects each day.

Thanks for looking!

I really do have to get the Grand Calibur and the huge dies. Didn't win anything in the big Spellbinders draw :( Never mind, I'll just have to hope that the Birthday Fairy is kind :)

snowbear said...

It's all great... I LOVE the gift box ensemble!

Anonymous said...

Mona,

As always your projects are GORGEOUS! The paper and accents are really beautiful. I love the new Spellbinders Grand dies - just got the Grand Calibur for Xmas and am really enjoying making cards - haven't done any scrapbook layouts with them yet so it is nice to see what you are up to.

I think the Waltzingmouse stamps are a match made in heaven with the Spellbinder dies. And now on top of that with help from a fantastic designer like you what more could we ask for????

PS I really like how you used the Waltzingmouse accent pieces in an unexpected way - the circular stamp on the fabric trim.
