Hi there! Hope you all had a great weekend! I went on a last minute~spur of the moment weekend trip to CHA with my sweet friend Stephanie. Oh my goodness! We had a great time, meeting up with friends and drooling over all the new papercrafting products that will soon be hitting the shelves! I made this card for my son's sweet girlfriend, April who turned 21 today! Happy Birthday April :)
After seeing ALL the dreamy designer papers that will soon be available, I figured I would put some sweet patterned paper from the girl's paperie to good use. For sketch inspiration, I played along with this week's Card Patterns Sketch 100:
I stamped the jar image from PTI's Friendship Jars first then the polka dot filler and trimmed around the edges. I inked the lid up with VersaMark ink, embossed with silver embossing powder, colored with various Copics then trimmed around the edges. I don't own any PTI dies yet but I am thinkin' they would make my crafty life easier and save me time rather allowing me to create more!? Have you used PTI dies yet? If so, any tricks of the trade that you would like to share with me? :)
That's all for today ~ thanks for looking! Be Sweet :)
Supplies Used:
Stamps: PTI Friendship Jars
Die Templates & Machine: Spellbinders™ Nestabilities® S4-190 Labels Four, S5-025 Labels Seventeen, GC-001 Grand Calibur
Patterned Paper: the girl's paperie

Sweet card Mona! I love your take on the sketch; very creative! Very vintage, great yummy jar!
Lovely card. I aodre your amazing ability to combine papers of such different patterns and in such a way that they look like they have always been the perfect match for one another. That certainly takes skill. I have the PTI jar die and it absolutely makes things a million times quicker as does the jar toppers die. Well worth it. I guess that's my best tip for you. ;-) Fancy that. All that being said, this is a darling card filled with all the shabby-licious, vintage gorgeousness that I love and that I adore about your creations.
the bottle is cute...love the colors you play on it!!!
Your embellishments always look like they are die cut ... you are so precise ... this card is wonderful and the jar fabulous ... I would love to have PTI dies myself ... they are fabulous but the postage is quite high for the UK so what I don't have I don't miss ... (who am I kidding!)
April is going to LOVE LOVE LOVE this card. There is so much detail on this ...... I can see that you approve of this young lady:) I am so happy I found your blog ....... I do not seem to be eating as much chocolate!!
Sweet card I love the stitching, flower and the jar lid looks awesome! And as you always do, you mad me look, I had never heard of PTI dies, now I know what they look like, pretty cool. ~Diane
How adorable, Mona! I just love that jar full of polka dots. Oh, and the great silver lid to your jar, too!
What a sweet adorable shabby-chic card! April will go ga ga over it! Love that jar and the topper and the wonderful papers used! You are just a fountain of inspiration, Mona! Thanks!
What a sweet, sweet card Mona! I love all the pieces of patterned paper behind the label and jar image and your lid is perfect! I have a few PTI dies including the jar and toppers. They make quick work of using these images. The only tip I have to offer is that I put dark cardstock or my black mouse pad under the die cut before stamping. It makes it so much easier to line the images up with the edges of the cardstock. :) Thank you for all of the inspiration that you give me!
OMG! Mona I LOVE LOVE how you use papertrey product! You should get the die and I love their products which co-ordinate with their stamp! You will love it! They are so cute!
BEAUTIFUL Mona, I love your papers!!

This is sooo cute -- know she'll LOVE it (and the person who made it)!!! I have a few PTI dies and they were wonderful -- wish I had them ALL (of course!). I think the hardest part after being used to SBs dies is getting used to the fact that they're solid, but I don't have any problem with them & LOVE their versatility with all their stamps!!!
Such a sweet card, the DP is gorgeous and love the treat jar !!!
You are so lucky to have gone to CHA! must have been fun!!! I love card you made for April! Such gorgeous details! Perfect style, Mona!
LOVE PTI dies, and you know I love spellbinders... but I am completely hooked on PTI right now. But invest in some painter's tape!! They aren't open, so sometimes you have to fight to get your project out.
This is gorgeous, as always :) I love how you added some stamped accents to your DP :)
JEALOUS of your trip to CHA... I *will* go someday, I have warned everyone that it's only a matter of time!! :)
