The Vatican 36

Hi there! Hope you are having a great week so far. I'm so excited to be joining along as a Guest Designer with the talented Memuaris DT! One of the many things I love about paper crafting is that it is an amazing way to communicate with other crafters around the world sharing the same passion. How unique is that???

 The current challenge is a sketch challenge based on the fantastic sketch shown below: 

I created a layout featuring a photo of The Vatican that was taken when we were on vacation touring Rome:

I combined a variety of pretty Pion design patterned papers to create all the paper rolled roses, foliage and doilies.

I added texture and design to the background using the Petal Pattern Stencil. Peeking out from behind the photo is a stamped clock that was made using a clock from Timeless:

I cut a trio of butterflies from a sheet of Pion design patterned paper then embellished with various metal trinkets:
