Hi there! I hope you had a great weekend! It's Monday so that means it's time for an all new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week we are all about the word blue! Whether you take the word blue to mean a color or state of mind ~ we're all about blue! I have the winter blues and I am longing for a beach vacation with blue skies and crystal blue water.

Inspired by the thought of a beach vacation, I created a page in my art journal using an assortment of blue colored mediums including the following products: Broken China Distress Paint, African Jade Acrylic Glaze, Denim Color Wash, and Tropicana Teal Spritz
Once I was satisfied with the multi-layered background, I added a trio of die cut mini butterflies:
as well as a variety of Remnant and Words Rubs:

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you join along in the fun!
Be Sweet ;)

Mona! Not only do I adore the variations of blue that you created, but I love how you combined soft butterfly images with the more "gritty" looking numbers and fonts. It's just a really unique and stunning mix of sassy and sweet!
