Hi there! Hope you are all ready for the weekend ~ I know I am! It's time for an all new Mixed Media Color Challenge. Thanks so much to all who joined along with challenge #5 ~ there were so many beautiful projects in the gallery and thanks to all of you who take time to leave such kind and considerate comments :) For nearly the next two weeks, we will be playing with the following color combination:
For my sample, I used an 11" x 14" canvas board to create a layout featuring one of my favorite photos of my sweet sister Tina and I:
I used a variety of embellishments including one of the beautifully hand crocheted flowers made by sweet Tina that is layered under the pretty pink flower:
I painted the chipboard elements with silver paint then added a layer of Ranger Rock Candy but I think it was too old because it barely added a crackle effect :(
This canvas has sooooo many layers I can't even begin to count them! I first started by collaging printed Ranger tissue paper down which you can't even see now, then I added lots of ink, paint, texture and stamped images. Peeking out under all those layers are stamped images from Collage Backgrounds and Distressed Background Blocks:
The stenciled detail was added using the Petal Pattern stencil:For sketch inspiration, I joined along with the Skissedilla sketch challenge:
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit ~ I hope I have inspired you to mix things up! Please hop on over to A Mixed Media Color Challenge for COMPLETE details on how to join in the fun and for some awesome inspiration from Sue!
Be Sweet ;)
