Crimson Poppies 28

Hi there! So happy the weekend is here! I've been playing around in my oversized 11" x 16" art journal, working on some techniques. I watched a how to video taught by one of my favorite artists, Ginger Cook
My art journal page was inspired by this Van Gogh shown below:
Here's my take:

I'm going to attempt to paint this again except next time, on a large 24" x 36" canvas:

I love all the texture especially in the vase:

I think you did an amazing job, Mona. I love the balance of your painting. The vase is slightly to the right, but the bigger overhang of flowers on the left balances it beautifully. Nicely done!

It's wonderful, Mona - I agree the texture on the vase is fantastic, and I love the movement in the stems too. It will make a fabulous large canvas.
