enjoy life 58

Mona Pendleton | Tuesday, July 7, 2015 @ 9:32 AM | , ,

Hi there! I hope you are having a great week! Today I have a layout to share featuring a photo of sweet Meredith that was taken several years ago while we were vacationing on Maui:
I combined a variety of Distress Inks to create the ink splattered background and to colorize the die cut Grungepaper greens:
For the title I die cut a couple words using Tim's Adventure Words Sizzix dies:
I joined along with the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge 3, Challenge 32:
Using Frosted Film and following the tutorial found on page 59 in the Tim Holtz’s A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol. 3, to create a large Tattered Floral:
I also die cut a Grungeboard sand dollar and seahorse then gave them a crackled texture using crackle paste:
I randomly stamped the dot stamp from Tim's Ultimate Grunge stamp set on the background then heat embossed using white embossing powder:
I'm also joining along with the following challenges:
Anything But Cute Challenge #3 where the theme is to create projects with a romantic theme a beach/sea theme or both, but they must be strongly inspired by the colors of this mood board:
For sketch inspiration, I'm joining along with the current Let's Get Sketchy sketch challenge:
Thanks so much for stopping by ~ I hope you have a great day / night!
Be Sweet ;)

Mona...this layout is so completely beautiful that I don't quite know what to say! I so love your use of the frosted film here. It gives such a light, airy feeling to your already lovely layout design. The colors are very beachy...perfect for the photograph. That dimensional flower is just gorgeous. The white embossed random polka dots and the white splatters on that gorgeous tattered flower and in other areas of the layout really finish it off perfectly. Thanks for sharing with us at CC3C. <3 Candy
