A Steampunk Style shoe...ColourArte Blog Hop 75

Mona Pendleton | Thursday, July 30, 2015 @ 3:51 PM | , , , ,

Hi there! Today is the ColourArte Altered Shoe Blog Hop!!! There are many fabulous prizes to be won, all you have to do is leave a comment! The more DT members blogs you visit and comment on, the more chances you have to win!!!
The DT was asked to alter a shoe or pair of shoes featuring any ColourArte products of our choice.
I combined the following ColourArte products: Dimensional Paint Autumn Leaf, Silks Bolivian Blue and Silks Teal Zircon to create a steampunk themed shoe:
Here's a before and after shot:
To alter the shoe, I adhered embossed Ranger craft foil, applied Prima Black Gesso to the shoe as well as ALL the embellishments. Once everything was dry, I randomly applied the following ColourArte productsDimensional Paint Autumn LeafSilks Bolivian Blue and Silks Teal Zircon.
The gorgeous Butterfly of Gears chipboard piece is from Gina's Designs and made for the perfect focal piece on my shoe:
Note the sole is a tread mark pattern :)
I dug out some dewdrops from my stash and adhered each one to create a studded trim:
Thanks so much for stopping by! Please be sure to visit ALL the DT members blogs as well as the ColourArte Blog for lots of amazing inspiration and a chance to win!
Be Sweet ;)
