peace on earth... 26

Mona Pendleton | Thursday, July 31, 2014 @ 2:17 AM | , , ,

Hi there! I hope you are having a great week!
Today I have a page to share from my art journal:
I painted an owl using a variety of paints from my stash:
I joined along with the Compendium of Curiousities 3, Number 7 challenge which is to create a project featuring the Painted Industrial technique and embellished with an industrial painted die cut heart:
and randomly added design using various Tim Holtz stencils:
I also joined along with the Sunday Stamper challenge where the theme is Christmas / Winter and randomly stamped/embossed Tim Holtz snowflakes.
Thanks so much for stopping by ~ I hope you have a great day!
Be Sweet ;)

Mona...your art journal page is so cute. I love the soft colors! Your owl is darling and the painted industrial heart on his chest with the added blue tones is wonderful! I also love your added stenciled designs to the background. They are so random and very cool. You may have partially created this for a Christmas themed challenge but I think it works for ANY day. Peace on earth is appropriate anytime! :) Thanks for sharing your art with us at CC3C. <3 Candy

Your takes on mixed media are so inspiring. One of my goals for 2014 is to try mixed media and I recently bought my first jar of embossing paste and a few stencils. I am an absolute beginner and I can hardly wait to start this weekend. Although it will never ever be as beautiful as this. I LOVE that owl!
