Bliss...13arts April Challenge 34

Mona Pendleton | Sunday, April 13, 2014 @ 2:00 AM | , ,

Hi there! I hope you are having a great weekend. It's time for an all new 13arts challenge and it's my turn to choose the challenge theme which is Flowers. Spring has sprung here in many areas of the United States and maybe in your part of the world as well? With that thought in mind, as the saying goes ~
April Showers Bring May Flowers ~ show us your Flowers!
Your artwork must include: a 13arts flower, a flower made using 13arts papers / products or some creative way on how you used a flower when creating your project.
I made a layout featuring a photo of Meredith that was taken after her and her friend played around face painting each others faces:
To create this layout, I combined the two following fun patterned papers from the Timeless collection: Good Times (paper) and Today, tomorrow, always. I added texture and design using Gesso Acrylic Primer with the MFT Petal Circles Stencil:
I framed Meri's photo with a wooden frame from my stash that I added lots of texture using Gel Medium along with Glass microspheres D2
I embellished the layout with a fantastic variety of 13arts blossoms including: White and Pink FlowersTwigs, ornamental fruit decorTwigs, pink, and Rubella paper, Crushed Pink flowers:

Here are a few steps that I took along the way sharing my creative process.
I applied Gesso Acrylic Primer to the wooden frame then applied Gel Medium along with Glass microspheres D2:
Once dry, I applied Gesso Acrylic Primer:
Then applied more Gesso Acrylic Primer and Matte Coral Acrylic Paint:

For sketch inspiration, I joined along with kreative koncepts:
I hope you join along! Your artwork must include: a 13arts flower, a flower made using 13arts papers / products or some creative way on how you used a flower when creating your project. Please be sure to visit the 13arts blog for complete details and info.
Thanks so much for visiting!
Be Sweet ;)
