***Hi there! I have two posts today, if you came here to see my projects for the MFT October Teasers Day 5, please click HERE***
I hope you are having a great weekend! Scott, Connor and I are currently in San Diego hanging out for the earlier part of the day then we are driving to Los Angeles to drop Connor off at a University that he is considering attending in the upcoming Fall. He will have the chance to experience a day in the life of a college student while Scott and I get to spend the day, hanging out in LA.
I have some super exciting news that I have been dying to share with you! I'm very honored and feel so blessed to have been invited to join the International 13 arts DT by the uber talented mixed media artist, Aida Domisiewicz, Owner and Designer of 13 arts located in Poland! While 13 arts is located in Poland, many of their products are sold around the world! The team consists of wildly talented artists from various countries around the world ~ please be sure to visit the 13arts blog post ~click HERE~ so you can meet all the DT members :)
In celebration of this exciting news, I made a layout featuring a photo of my son, Jerry and his fiance, April while combining pretty papers from 13 arts All is Love Collection.I added a little texture and design, using the Scallops Stencil on top of the pretty 13 arts Big Love paper and splattered some Ayeeda Bordeaux Mist:
I combined a variety of flowers from my stash along with a cameo and pearl flourish:I made a heart shaped charm using a Spellbinders Media Mixage heart die to cut the word LOVE from a piece of 13 arts Big Love patterned paper then adhered it inside the bezel. The beautiful background paper is the Forever patterned paper:
For the title, I painted a chipboard piece using Crackle Paint then added a few pearls:
For color and tid bits, I joined along with the CSI challenge #92:
The Scheme: Use all colors (done)The Evidence: Use at least two
gems/ pearls/hearts/dangle something/charms/cameo/lace
Tuck your story between layers so some of it shows
***my journaling piece is tucked behind the photo but it slipped all the way under so I have to rephotograph when I get home from vacation! I journaled about April and Jerry's engagement.
For sketch inspiration, I joined along with the Scrap Africa Sketch #22:
Thank you so much for visiting and for sharing in my crafty world excitement! If you get a chance, please be sure to visit the 13arts blog post ~click HERE~ where you can say hi and meet all the DT members.
Be Sweet ;)
