This world is but a canvas...MFT Creative Challenge 59

Hi there! Welcome to the September MFT Design Team Creative Challenge! Just in case you are not familiar, the MFT Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative side using a specific theme, product, or technique. This month, we were challenged to create a card or project with no patterned paper. Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for a list of all participating designers who have put their MFT stamps and/or Die-namics dies to work to create a project for you today!I really embraced this Creative Challenge and had lots of fun creating a mixed media mini album using a combination of many MFT stamps and Die-namics dies. I have lots to share so let's get started...

I started with a blank canvas mini album that I added lots of texture, patterns and color to using a combination of Gel, stencils and heidi swapp Color shine. Once I had the cover and all the pages covered with texture and color, I randomly stamped the beautiful saying from the Die-namics First Class Friend.  

Each page, including the cover features a fun sentiment from Clearly Sentimental about Art.

I stamped one of the sweet birds from Inspired By Caged Bird, cut him out then adhered a metal crown on top of his head. 

Since this challenge is all about not using patterned paper, I stamped my own as well as canvas using the same sentiment that I stamped as part of the background throughout the book from Die-namics First Class Friend as well as the music note image from Inspired By Love. Once all the stamping was completed, I made a few ;) embellishments using Die-namics Leafy Flourish, Die-namics Mini Royal Roses, Die-namics Royal Rose, Die-namics Large Royal Rose and Die-namics Royal Leaves.

Page 1 - I stamped the beautiful heart and wings from Inspired By Love, cut them out then layered them on a doily made using Die-namics Dainty Doily DUO and added another fun sentiment from Clearly Sentimental about Art as well as more roses.

Page 2 - I can't get enough of the beautiful butterflies from Inspired By Butterflies and the coordinating Die-namics! After die cutting and stamping the butterfly, I perched her on top of a doily made using Die-namics Open Scallop Doily DUO. 

Note the pretty flourishes behind the roses? They were made by stamping one the gorgeous images from Finishing Flourishes then I simply cut them out using a sharp scissors. 

Page 3 - I stamped one of the text images from Die-namics Own Your Story Stamp Set & Four Point Frame on a coordinating die cut from the set then added lots homemade roses, leaves, flourishes as well as other embellishments.

Page 4 - Features a beautiful bird cage as well as another sweet bird image from Inspired By Caged Bird along with more flowers, flourishes and leaves.

and lastly, Page 5 - Features another fun text image from Die-namics Own Your Story Stamp Set & Four Point Frame that was stamped on a coordinating die cut from the set. 

Amongst the rolled roses are die cut canvas flowers that I made by using applying gel to canvas, spraying with heidi swapp Color shine then die cutting using Die-namics Perfect Petal Trio.
