MFT Goes Grunge... 38

***I have two posts today, please click HERE to see my MFT September Teaser Time Day 1 post. Thank you :)***
Hi there! So glad you stopped by today :) I'm a huge fan of Tim Holtz and really admire his grunge style as he makes it look so effortless. Over the years, I've managed to collect / hoard lots of Ranger products that Tim convinced me I NEEDED! :) LOL many of which I've used and many that have sat on the shelf neglected. Tim shares this awesome tutorial, click HERE, on how to create a cool tag which was my source of inspiration. I made this tag especially for my sweetie Scott not only because I love him so but because I want to show him that I really do NEED all the bits and bobs ;)
I combined the beautiful Vintage typewriter image and a sentiment from the Die-namics Just My Type Die & Stamp Set.
After die cutting, stamping and distressing the edges of the typewriter, I applied a coat of Ranger Rock Candy to give it an aged look.
To create the purple ribbons, I sprayed a few pieces of seam binding with Adirondack Wild Plum and Purple Twilight Color Wash and attached a Philosophy tag along with a crystal gem from my stash.
If you look closely, the word "notes" is engraved on the pen nib trinket. I'm pointing this out because I did not see that until I actually got up close and personal with the piece when adhering it to my tag :)
Thanks so much for visiting! I hope you enjoyed my tag and please be sure to visit Tim for a step by step tutorial.
Be Sweet :)
