More Monsters! 26

Mona Pendleton | Monday, September 14, 2009 @ 2:26 PM | , ,

Hi Girls! Hopefully you all had a great weekend! I am back this fine Monday, with some more Monster Madness! First, I would like to share a few personal Halloween photos from last year of my own fuzzy 4 legged Monsters :) P.S. I don't always dress my dogs, just for special occasions :)

Griffin disguised as an alligator!
Gretchen as a bumble-bee!

Gathering from the sweet comments that you girls ever so kindly left for me on my first Monster Madness post, ALL of you looooved these lil' guys! Me too :) That's why I chose to feature them in my series of creations for the Cuttlebug Challenge Birthday Party Palooza happening over at the Cuttlebug Challenge site where they are celebrating their 1st birthday! If you haven't already, you should go visit their site. EVERYDAY, those girls have something going on! Not only do they have many creations of inspiration to share, they also offer many educational tutorials! I don't know about you, but I am always open to learning a "new trick of the trade!" In case you have forgotten or if this is the first time visiting me, this challenge going on over at the Cuttlebug Challenge site is all about a party! Sticking to the party theme, last week we were first challenged to create an Invitation to our party (I chose a Halloween theme).

These are the Invites from last week.

Now that we have Invited our guests, this week's challenge Be Inspired #48 Cuttlebug Challenge, we are challenged to create a coordinating Card and A Gift Bag, A box, anything.

My sketch inspiration comes from Jen del Muro's this week's Sketch For You To Try challenge. Jen is a very accomplished stamper. If you would like to see some amazing creations from Jen & her DT or just read the family stories she shares, I recommend visiting her.

Using the PTI My Timeless Template Milk Made Carry-All, I made a lil' treat gift box adorned with those cuuuuute, cuddly Monster images from Recollections! Each lil' milk carton is closed with a Making Memories cheeky board clip.

I used a Quickutz tag die to make the tag, then dragged the individual color pieces across my SU Basic Black ink pad to achieve a distressed look around the edges. Using a sponge dauber inked up with SU Sahara Sand ink, I sponged around the edges for a vintagey look.

Here is the This week's card along with the gift "basket".

This is what the PTI Milk Made Carry-All looks like with the milk cartons removed. This is just another one of PTI's versatile templates! I have soooo many projects planned already for this template!

Here is the Monster Madness collection:

I'd love to know what you think so far? Thanks for looking! Be Sweet!
