Hi there! I hope you are having a great weekend! Today I had a lot of fun creating a layout for Prima's October Build A Page sketch challenge:
I scrapped a photo of Connor and Meredith that was taken over 10 years ago when we were on vacation in California exploring around the Santa Monica Pier:
I also had a blast helping Meredith get ready for her costume contest tonight! The costume was ALL her idea, I just had to mist some flowers from my stash, adhere them on her and paint her body green! She did all of her own makeup! She is a fairytale nymph :)
Hard to believe she was only 3 when we met and now she is already 17! Where does the time go??
To create the layout, I combined fun papers from Prima's Cartographer collection (black flowers and photo mounts) along with paper from the Something Blue collection (background):
Peeking out from under the famous Santa Monica Pier ferris wheel is a Prima die cut doily and below that is a stenciled Prima doily. I embellished with mostly Prima flowers with the exception of the three turquoise ones:
For the title, I used a teeny Prima light bulb and embellished with a sweet Prima resin cherub. All the fun heart gear die cuts were made using a Prima Sizzix die:
I added lots of texture to the background and finished out with splashes of paint:
For color and theme inspiration, I joined along with the current CSI challenge:
Thanks so much for stopping by ~ I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

This is how I solved the case:
The Scheme: I used all 5 colors
The Evidence: I used: paint, polka dots, a lightbulb and flowers
The Testimony: I journaled on the back of the layout using the Q & A format. This is what I wrote: Where does the time go? We met when you two were 3 & 4 years old. Meredith, you were just starting Pre K and Connor you were just starting Kindergarden. Now at the ages of 17 & 18, you both have blossomed into beautiful young adults. I'm so grateful and feel so blessed to had the opportunity to watch your grow up.
Thanks so much for stopping by ~ I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!
