Hi there! I hope all is well! Today I did a double workout session ~ one at my local gym, Life Time Fitness and one at the Mixed Media Place Creative Gym :) This month's challenge is to create a project using black, white, grey and ONE color.
My dear husband challenged me to create using one of my least favorite colors ~ red:
I scrapped a photo of the amazingly beautiful Sagrada Familia Roman Catholic church that Scott took while we were vacationing in Barcelona, Spain a few years ago.
I combined pretty papers from 7 Dots Studio
I added lots of texture using Prima art basics Light Paste along with a Prima stencil:
I embellished with a variety of flowers from my stash along with die cut foliage:
For a little splash of color, I flicked on black and red paints:
I loved the color palette so much, I ended up making a greeting card:
To create the card, I used pretty Prima patterned papers, PTI stamps and dies, embellished with a couple of flowers from my stash:
For sketch inspiration, I joined along with the retrosketches sketch challenge:
Many thanks for stopping by!Be Sweet ;)

I really dont get the impression of you avoiding red. You used it quite perfectly here. I love the work you shared with us today. Hard to work with the restrictions of only being allowed to use black, white, grey and ONE color.. I'm happy your DH challenged you into using red... ( i love red....lol ).
