A daughter... 20

Mona Pendleton | Monday, June 2, 2014 @ 7:37 PM | ,

Hi there! Today I have a couple of cards to share featuring Pion design's newest paper collection ~ My Precious Daughter. It is right up my alley ~ so girly and frilly :) I couldn't wait to dive in the box of beautiful papers and create something so I made a couple of cards ~ one for Angie and one for Meredith ~ my two precious daughters :)

Just wanted to share that Angie is off to Austin this week to ride her bike in the X-Games ~ she is one of four female riders that have been invited to participate. The girls are not allowed to compete but they are allowed to demonstrate their skills in an allotted exhibition time :) Seems a little backwards that girls are allowed to fight in combat in this country but not allowed to ride in the X-Games?
For the focal point on both, I featured two of the beautifully stated sentiments within the collection. Both are layered and stitched on a gorgeous die cut that was made using various Spellbinders dies:
Once I had the card all distressed, layered and stitched in place, I embellished both with a trio of flowers from my stash:
as well as a hemp bow and button treatment. Can't wait to hand deliver these to my girls :)
For sketch inspiration, I joined along with the current retro sketches sketch challenge:
Many thanks for stopping by ~ I hope you enjoy the rest of your week.
Be Sweet ;)
