Love, Wish, Dream... 42

Hi there! I hope you had a super fun weekend! It's Monday, so that means it's time for an all new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week's challenge theme is to create something that is inspired by some patchwork.

I was inspired to create a wall hanging featuring a patchwork fabric heart.

Prior to giving my hand at stamping, I stitched together quilts. I always enjoy combining both crafts when creating. To create this hanging, I cut and pieced together strips of Eclectic Elements fabric then trimmed the fabric into a heart shape using a hand drawn pattern.
I stamped a sentiment from Stuff To Say using Jet Black ink on a piece of muslin from my stash then stitched that on to the heart and embellished with a variety of embellishments including a die cut wreath, a Metal Flower:

Mona...your wall hanging is so beautifully done. I love the fabric heart in the center with the little patch in the center of it. So pretty. Your little touches of the metal embellishments and the white and cream color palette you've used really create such a wonderful shabby chic piece. <3 Candy

Mona ... this is just beautiful. I love the pieces of fabric. I was thinking that this would be a great project to show off special pieces of jewelry, buttons from clothes, hair clips, etc that I associate with special memories over the years. I put those things away in closets and drawers. This would be an fabulous way to get them out and showcase them. Wonderful make! -- Mary Elizabeth

I am a tad on the tardy side with my comments for this project, but I couldn't let it pass without giving you a big hefty W-O-W! What a great way to interpret the theme and I love how no matter what the challenge is, your "Mona-ness" always shines through.
